<p>Next step for me on the journey.  They want to check out the valve and aorta.</p>
<p>A bit nervous, but some of it is the knowledge of where this is ultimately heading.</p>

<p>Had the angioplasty twice.  I think it's pretty much the same thing, only they know what they're looking for and are ready to do something about it.  The worst part is having to lay immobile for something like 8-10 hours afterward while the plug in your groin (femoral artery?) sets up.</p>

<p>My partner had angioplasty and cardiac catherization several times.  Originally they used to involve overnight stays but the last 10 years or so they were done on an out patient basis, but still in the hospital.  Very easy and low risk procedure, although they usually   have a heart team standing by just in case any complications develop.   The anxiety is worse than the procedure.  You'll do fine.</p>

<p>7:30 MT tomorrow.  A tad nervous.  Bit of a cold too, so that isn't helping things.  Been told it's a piece of cake, so I'm not THAT scared.  See you all on the other side.</p>

<p>Well it just so happens that 7:30 mountain time is when I need to  get up for work, so I will be thinking of you tomorrow a.m. for sure.</p>

<p>Thanks  one handed typing as they went in through my wrist.  Piece of cake.  Some expected news and some surprising news.  Need to do some mulling and then let the MDs do some mulling  It is a good thing that i was am will be again a runner and that i am a vegetarian. </p>
