It was a totally legal spot. I took pix from all angles. The ticket was written by a state police officer, not the city's parking division. He saw us park there and could have said something if he wanted us to move..if he had simply asked us to move, for whatever reason, we would have. But he waited until we were gone and promptly wrote us a ticket. Because the spot is very close to the State House, I think he just assumed it was not legal to park there, but it is. We've parked there numerous times in the past, never gotten a ticket, and people park there every day without getting a ticket. There are no signs, no paint on the road or sidewalk to indicate you're not supposed to park there. It is not a metered spot.

Anyway, what evidence do I need to collect, in addition to the pictures, to have a successful case in court? I have one witness, my carpool partner who was in the car while I parked and observed the ticketed car when we returned.

Any insight is appreciated.
