Now that I am working again, I was thinking about getting a new cellphone for DW and I would take over her old cell phone. I was thinking about getting her the Android. Does anyone have any experience with it. We are currently on Verizon so I am not really thinking about switching carriers so that eliminates the iphone. For work they are supplying me with a blackberry so assuming I can use the blackberry for personal calls, I was just going to keep her old cell phone until the contract ran out.

No experience but I have to laugh at the commercials. How are you supposed to stream video when it takes over a minute to call up the most basic web page in the Blackberry browser?

I just got the Droid X. I LOVE it. Its a totally amazing phone. (I havent had a iphone, but I am told this compares) Then again, I came from a BB.

Plenty of apps to choose from, I can tether my laptop from it for free, and the screen is amazing! Its very user friendly and easy to get around in and pretty intuitive.

I am very very happy with it. :)

I just got a Samsung Moment, which isn't the latest and greatest (it's technically an "emergency" phone on my parents' plan, but since they upgraded to the whole hog access plan for a flat rate, figured I should upgrade my base model flip phone) but does the job just fine

Plenty of apps out there it seems (I've only indulged in some bare basics) which is fine for me since my life isn't too tethered around the phone anyway.
