See here for an explanation. Does anyone have any experience or insights about eating this way.

I have had gut problems and weird allergic responses for years so I am overhauling my diet to see if it makes a difference.

I think that I actually try to eat this way but I never look at as a diet (we'll ignore the fact that I can't seem to resist Easter candy right now...) - just seems like a pretty reasonable way to eat.

If the diet is adhered to I'm not sure all of the supplementation is neccessary. That said, I am vegetarian, but I wish I could eat fish (just can't get it down, I've tried!) so I do put fish oil in my smoothies and yogurt (nordic naturals has a great product that doesn't taste fishy at all!). In addition I take a multivitamin and cal/mag supplement daily.

I didn't mean diet in the weight loss sense. I also eat this way mostly now, the big difference will be no alcohol, caffeine, wheat and all processed foods. I eat no more than about 20% processed now for convenience more than anything.

LRR- very funny.

i think it is a great thing to try, especially eliminating processed foods and caffiene and alcohol. Another option would be a rotation diet where you rotate foods in and out of your diet to figure out what foods are causing your symptoms. The rotation diet can be tedious and a long process, so i would try your proposed diet, which is just really healthy overall! I stopped eating processed foods and sugar and coffee in the fall and have not felt better, ever! It was truly amazing. I have been following a macrobiotic diet since the fall.
