Hi KS! Thanks for the translation.

Way to git er done, TW!

Got to the trailhead at just after dawn (7:30), only to find 6 cars and no runners in sight. Drat... they left early again. So headed out on my own for a 10 mile run up the river trail. Cold at first as I forgot my gloves and the temps were around 5°C (that's 41°F for KS), but I warmed up fast and was even a bit overdressed in tights and SS shirt under a light LS one. Met with 3 large groups of runners going the other way, including various friends, plus numerous hikers. Pushed the pace a bit thru miles 5 to 8....felt wonderful. A greta day for a run.

Enjoy the rest of your day, everyone!

Hi KS TW Heme, & rip

Way to rock n roll the ridgetop rip ...that's about my road time for a half marathon now (if I could even run that far)

coulda been worse TW....at least speedoboy didn't make an "appearance"

Nice LR's Ks & Heme.....sorry to hear the rest of your group "ditched you", must of been some local clock setting glitch...but at least you had a nice run.

7 miles in the foggy woods for me, nekkid again. 4°C at the start (that's 39°F Ks), followed by housecleaning x-training. Off to watch the Oregon-Oregon St game...for some reason they refer to it here as the "civil war"....doesn't make any sense, but then either does rock chalk jayhawk

That was a good game if your're a Northerner (I don't have a dog in this fight). Nice to see you getting some miles in.

Great racing, Rip and ks. You make us Masters proud.

I got in 5 M on the TM today, plus some time on the weight machines. I have done three outdoors runs this week (no daily reports--sorry) , so I paid my cold-and-windy dues. I got the lawnmower winterized, the lawn chair stowed away in the shed, the bush rose protected from freezing--bring on Old Man Winter.

Yes, again, where is HappyFeat?? Perhaps she didn't get the memo re: unexplained absences

Honk Honk TW nice run today....and your choir sounds good as well.

Like FO, I got in some miles on the TM today (4 only) followed by some weights. Still haven't got up to a 20 mile week yet, but I should be able to pull that off soon. I just need the time to run 4 days.

um Hi folks...not "gone" on purpose...first my posts kept vanishing and I didn't feel like retyping them, then there just hasn't been a "good time" to do any online visiting.

36 miles for me this week: 6-6-8-6-rest-10-rest/yoga ...a couple runs were complicated by low back pain (boo!) but I've taken it easy, iced, used Voltaren gel, and the 10-miler went ok yesterday. Prolly should save this entry to avoid losing it and then add to it.

P.S. Johnny - vegetarian here too, though maybe for different reasons - do not miss eating turkey on Thanksgiving.

Baba...my shorts threshold has been raised considerably this year, from freezing in years past to 42°F. Nice to hear you're still running. Don't be a stranger.

HappyFeat....you had us all worried, glad you're back. No idea what you post on, but I just started using firefox instead of IE.......works like 1000% better on Kick.

Nice you have a cheering section TW. I have an occasional cow glance over at me when I run by.

Welcome back HF and Baba

Weather turned miserable here to so I basically did nothing today. My quads are still sore but I did go to the fitness center for an eliptical workout. I eased into it the first half hour, went a little harder the second half hour and went real hard for 13 minutes. Ended up with 14.3 eliptical miles in 73 minutes.

Glad to see you're still with us, HF! Glad you're still running well. I use Firefox also for Kick, with no issues.

Yay, Baba's back! Greta to see you, buddy!

Hi FO!

Hi Johnny!

One nice thing about being female....... there's that intermediate "capri" threshold level as well.

And sorry to tell you Johnny... no red Speedo run this year... the event is still happening, but I have company coming that day. Maybe next year!

I do use Firefox; so I don't know...blame it on gremlins I guess.

hmm yes the "capri" threshold - been wearing the knee length compression shorts regularly now for that very reason. Although last weekend's run was so cold I ordered up some Brooks "extreme" cold weather running pants, rated for 30 and below. Naturally as soon as they arrived, it's been near 50 degrees. I may never get to wear them!

MTA rated for "30 and below" should read "40 and below" - I just double checked - guess I'll get some use out of them after all!
