<p>So, been sick for most of the week.. Chest cough is now mostly sinus.  should I run 3 easy miles? I haven't run in a week.. </p>

<p>What is your "running mantra" for when sick?   </p>

<p>sure, just bundle up and do an easy run.  I think it generally helps as long as you are working at the low end of your aerobic system.  Sometimes indoor workouts are a good bet when recovering because you can control and monitor the intensity and quit if you don't feel well.</p>

<p>If all you're dealing with is some sinus congestion, then get going.  Most of the time I find that a good run loosens up the phlem and for about 30 min after the run I feel awesome!  Then I'm back to feeling crappy and congested.</p>

<p>Yep yep yep get out there and run.  An easy 3 mi run is great to get the juices flowing and alleviate the congestion.  The only time a cold will stop me is if I am just completely dog tired, I have very heavy chest congestion that is seriously compromising my breathing or I have a fever/chills.  Like Mike says, I usually feel better right after.  With all the germs the kids bring home, if I stopped running with every cold symptom I would never run!</p>

<p>I didn't feel like running in the rain, so I rode my bike for a bit.. I'll run tonight. </p>
