What the heck are you guys doing to yourselves?

That is all.

Oh, no it isn't. I feel bad for Huntsman. The only sane individual in the race. Maybe 2016... Maybe, just maybe Obama will grow a pair and ask him to be his running mate AS A REPUBLICAN.

Not sure why. The economy is stable, job situation is pretty good, housing market is decent, our banks are solvent, we had a balanced budget and were paying off our deficit until other countries got the world into a spot of bother but we've turned that around again. Public health care, taxes aren't too bad. On the whole a decent place if you don't mind the cold in the winter.

That's a really sweet idea ....about as likely as the merger of Israel and Syria. Why can't we all just get along?

What the US needs is a legitimate third party strategically placed BETWEEN the 2 parties rather than out on the fringe at the ends of the spectrum.. Now that would lead to a new spirit of co-operation.

I know that, and I know you know I know that.

The idea is an interesting one - not with Huntsman, that can never happen. But what if Obama spread his net a bit further and grabbed a conservative statesman as his running mate? He had rebulicans in his cabinet... why not one in his administration?

Somebody reasonable, like, say Bill O'Reilly.

Wait, what? Or that nice thin woman Anne Coulter.

There has to be more candidates who:

Are fiscal conservatives - espouse accountability and ensuring that taxpayers get their money's worth.

Are social liberals - know that the government has no place in the bedrooms of the nation (a Canajun reference)

Understand that poverty is a social justice issue not a reflection on a person's worth or value as a citizen.

Realize that collaboration and cooperation is not a sign of weakness, and admit that good ideas can come from either end of a political spectrum

Are leaders - not managers, not panderers, not followers of the majority opinion.

And it is becoming just as bad here. It would be easy to blame Stevie, but I lay that one squarely at the feet of Lyin' Brian.

Used to be that you knew that the leader of the opposition was a decent person (Stanfield comes to mind). You might not have voted for their party but you knew that if elected they'd do the best for the country.

Now it's so polarized that there is not intelligent polite discourse - until after they leave office and they can be all states(person)like.

Have you seen these? Definitely not suitable for work or British School Kids.
