What the heck are you guys doing to yourselves?

That is all.

Oh, no it isn't. I feel bad for Huntsman. The only sane individual in the race. Maybe 2016... Maybe, just maybe Obama will grow a pair and ask him to be his running mate AS A REPUBLICAN.

Yes, we are pressing hard for the Merkuns to build big walls. Dumbasses down there think it's so we won't get in.

That's a really sweet idea ....about as likely as the merger of Israel and Syria. Why can't we all just get along?

What the US needs is a legitimate third party strategically placed BETWEEN the 2 parties rather than out on the fringe at the ends of the spectrum.. Now that would lead to a new spirit of co-operation.

The people you keep naming are far too moderate ...in fact they are probably closet Democrats. :D

The art, and respect, and cooperation of politics is dead, and I suspect it can never be revived.

And it should be added that Newt Gringrich as Speaker of the House did irreparable damage in looking for any co-operation. He finally had to leave Congress when 80% of Republicans were poised to vote against him on the "ethics" question.

It's that baggage that will do him in...not his screwing around on wives who were sick.

That's a cute one about Sarah Palin. Her 15 minutes of fame were up...and fortunately it appeared that she knew it. If Obama is re-elected she'll have some more space to deliver speeches and make money because there are always people dumb enough to pay to hear her. If Republicans win she is a footnote in history. b'bye

Used to be that you knew that the leader of the opposition was a decent person (Stanfield comes to mind). You might not have voted for their party but you knew that if elected they'd do the best for the country.

Now it's so polarized that there is not intelligent polite discourse - until after they leave office and they can be all states(person)like.

I think you are wrong on some of the points. It os becoming just as nasty and I've always felt that most politicians were liars, crooks and thieves. However, we in Canada have a third (or a 4th or 5th) political party that will take some seats in Parliament. This keeps the two mainstream parties from straying too far away or getting too lost with a poor leader or else they find they aren't the opposition party. Ask the Liberals.

Of course in the provinces it might be different. Quebec searches for new political parties while Alberta has been quite satisfied with one. In Ontario we seek out who might be the least bad.
