Hey gang, do we have any Albuquerqans or New Mexicans in the group? We're about to steamroll through the southwest and I wonder if we have any tour guides to show us around town. It's probably a good idea to load up on some sustenance for the 800 mile leg to SoCal. And who knows what will happen when we get there. Ilene's waiting for us.

Anyone?

Though it's been a while, I've visited NM several times. So ... I'll lead the nickel tour of Albuquerque!

On our way through, we can detour onto a trail for a summit or canyon run in the mountains

To rest our legs, how about a balloon ride? ABQ is the hot-air ballooning capital.

Refueling will be delicious thanks to Southwestern favorites like enchiladas smothered in fresh fire-roasted chile sauce (your choice of green or red) washed down with a classic

and for dessert how about Sopapillas a la Mode, drizzled with chocolate or honey?

(Any current or former residents, please feel free to add some local flavor!)

I'm just sorry I couldn't get the picture to load. It made my mouth water.
