<p>I was at my Newphew's party yesterday. I was talking with my Brother in Law's father and step mother and my sister and I forget how it came up, but we were talking about adages that were rules to live by.</p>

<p>A couple years ago, he carved  "The Dude Abides" into a lovely welcome sign which hangs over the door of his lodgings out in Telluride.</p>
