5.9 earthquake! You'se guys alright?

I didn't feel anything here in the greater Portland area, though we're pretty far away - it was over 100 miles off the coast. We're hoping that it was not a foreshock for the big one on the Cascadia fault - supposed to be a 9++ when it happens.<br><br>
I always smirk when Californians move here to get away from earthquakes.

That spot gets lots of activity. Better to let off steam than to see a real quiet period. Too far away and too deep to feel here.
