4.5 miles, longest I've done since... I don't now when.

At about 4 miles I started going numb in the fingers, and it wasn't because of cold, Calgary is unseasonably warm this September. So I packed it in. Feel a bit bagged at the moment and am losing my voice (!) not good for tonight's show.

500+ ft elevation gain/loss. Fastest mile was on the order of a 9:32, slowest was 10:02.

Numb fingers? Packing it in sounds like a good idea.

Today, just worked on the bowflex for about 45 minutes. Working on some core stuff as well as upper body.

Tomorrow will probably be a running day.

Methinks I'm coming down with something. It's 30 degrees today! 86f. Unheard of. We haven't had a frost yet... but I thik I have a cold.

I was speaking with the missus about the numb fingers. I've been running about 5 km 2-3 times a week with no problems. I can't recall what starting running was like for me, but I wonder if it's just "pushing the envelope" and my body's way of saying, "enough". I somehow doubt that. The ischemic stuff after races is heart related, so I have to assume that even though I can slog 10 miles with a pack on my back with no problems, running is a bit of different beast.

I will keep testing my boundaries though.
