Have any of you heard of this? It supposedly has almost miraculous properties for recovery of athletes.

My neighbor is trying to sell me some juice, with other vitamins and minerals, made from it called Mona Vie.

Is it snake oil? Will I be throwing my money away? Will I die?

It is a scary deep purple color. It supposedly will make me healthier, more beautiful, live longer, be smarter and even run faster. I can't possibly be any of those except maybe faster.

it's just another one of those multi level marketing companies from what I can tell. I have tried a sample of it before (they were giving samples at the Eugene marathon expo last year). Just tasted like concentrated grape juice to me. It may have beneficial properties, or it may be a total marketing scam . . . .

I tasted it at a race expo once, too. I thought it was a.w.f.u.l! I imagine it does have antioxidants. But I wasn't willing to spend the money on it. Is there any evidence that if it has, say 10 times (or whatever) more antioxidants than pomegranate juice that actually means something? I doubt it.

Also, it seems to me it comes from some very exotic fruit that is hard to get to in the rain forests of South America. Is there an environmental downside to harvesting it for us "rich" Americans? (I don't know....I'm just wondering).
