I am wanting my six pac back and am willing to try almost anything to get them back.
Anyone go the Abs diet & workout way? Does it work? I know, low fat and ab work until I drop, right? I must be strange cause I enjoy core workouts but my body craves the 'not good for you' types of food.
I should just bite the bullet and really cut back on fatty foods.

The principles sound like they'll work, but someone would only need to follow the specific diet if they didn't have a lot of knowledge or discipline with nutrition. Any eating plan that leads to reduced body fat (i.e. calorie restriction first and foremost and then emphasis on "quality, clean" foods) is going to do the trick in terms of ab definition.

DH did it and lots 60 pounds in 6 months. Now, he's a big guy but still. It was the easiest thing for him to stick to.

It focuses on building muscle and eating lean protein. And the smoothies are killer!

Update: It is working for me. My fat was 31% in the begining of the year ( according to a personal trainer at my gym) and my abs were major flabby-I had a few rolls of fat just hanging around. Now, I'm at 27% fat and my abs are better looking and my waist line is 30"- before it was 32".
I'm still in a size 6( I was going up to a size but no 'muffin top' and there is a bit of room too. Don't think I'll ever be a size two again- and I would be crazy to even try to get down to that size! It was unhealthy for me.

I looked at it based on your post and decided to try it. I like the principles, it's less restrictive than the "carbs are bad" diets and it really emphasizes that you have to build muscle, lift weights, etc. not just "eat these foods only and drop pounds while you sleep." That is crap.

Being hypoglycemic, this eating plan is perfect for me. I got a similar one from my doctor years ago when first diagnosed, and of course I haven't kept up with it. I find it very easy to incorporate into my day. I started this week and am down 3 lbs. I also have a ton of energy and don't get that crappy midafternoon slump/sugar crash like usual, and my cravings for chocolate have all but vanished. I feel like I can even manage the stress eating better. And I've started trying to run again, first time since my knee surgery almost a year ago. I'd stick with this--the ab work isn't as nasty as pure crunches and I always loved lifting weights.

Well, I just signed up for a one month freebie with Abs Diet. I'm going to give it a shot. After 4 c-sections over the years, my abs need a lot of help. I'm also going to do my best with the diet, but will need to supplement because of my training for this 50 miler. I need food....
