I am sure many real reports will follow but I thought I would give a little spectator report. This was the biggest gathering I have ever attended! I am on the no run list currently but since it was local for me, I got to participate in the festivities anyway.

Got to the finish line bleachers just as the race began. Found the infamous Heater, one of my fellow cheerleaders and we set up camp, marking our spot with the cool KR sign provided by Auntie Moe.

After a slight delay all the runners were off!!! And more of our cheering section showed up. Our first buddy in was Maria, looking strong and happy. I took it as a good omen for the day. Next, I see LHTim running in, gave him a whole lot of cow bell cause for a guy battling back issues, he was running like a pro!! After that, the 8Kers filed in, everyone of them under 1 hour and running strong!! It was special to spot everyone , especially Prae, knowing this was her longest race to date and knowing she was owning that course!!!!!

Time to focus on the HM folks. After a short while I hear a yell from J and look up to see KrisE sailing in with PhillyTom, showing us how graceful a hard run can look! In true brotherly love fashion Philly headed back out to try and run some people in (he is an amazing guy for sure!). Now we have HM people filtering in. I see Theia and MY heartrate was up, knowing she was exceeding her goal and smashing her PR!! Soon followed by BigG, smiling like she had just started the race, not was about to finish! Our HMs came in quick succession after that but we made sure the voices were loud and the cowbell was sounding. Each one of them looked wonderful! The HM was topped off by the threesome of Auntie Moe, Moonie, and Frankie and was a true testament to why this site is so great, 3 friends battling injuries and rough training days to run together, finish together and doing it smiling. You 3 are my heros.

Ok, so we can turn our attention to the full folks now. Our cheering sections has grown and so has the excitement. The ever popular PacerChris comes in, exactly on time, and gives a delightful bow! Then, like deja vu, we see PhillyTom and a smiling Notey. Fabulous work! We soon catch a glimpse of LL and I almost fall off the bleachers, this guy almost matches his NYC time, impressive running, 2 great times, 2 weeks apart. And as always, he is smiling! Maybe one of my favorite moments was getting Bob-camed, as he approached the finish, he turned his camera on the cheering section and snapped one of us. I had anxiously been awaiting Solar because I know how hard she trained for this and I knew she was ready and I spent all day sending every bit of strength I had out to her. I spot her with the Coach T, her personal pacer. The look over, flash a smile and I am thrilled my girl is in, smiling, and happy, she ran a fantastic race! Since posting on these running forums I have always been inspired and motivated by Voodoo and yesterday was no expection. He is a true competitor and posesses too many fine qualities to list. I sincerely tip my hat to him for yesterday's performance. The race was topped of by the best dressed runner out there. Nettie in her tutu. On a rainy day there was a huge burst of light when she rounded the corner, her smile is electric!!!

So this was long winded and I didn't get to mention everyone by name. But it was an honor to be out there cheering for you all. Each and everyone of you put it all out there yesterday and I am so proud of you all!!! and hope you are all proud of yourselves!!

As a participant in the early race, and a spectator for the HM and full, I feel that I got the best of both worlds. As always, a pleasure hangin with you and your DH.

The only thing Beaker forgot to mention was when the PA announcer came over to our section of the bleachers and said, "These guys already RAN and are the loudest in the stands!!!" Which, of course, made us cheer even louder.

Hats off to the supporters who braved the cold to cheer us all in, and particularly to those that first busted ass on the run and then stayed to cheer others in! Thanks for recapping - I only got to see a few of the Philly Pholks you mentioned so this was a great summary.

Thanks for the report. It sounds like everyone had great time and it makes the non-philly gathering people jealous.

Lori, I forgot about the bobcam, that was awesome! Bob, I hope that picture came out! I pulled my camera out around mile 3 and carried it on my final two miles, snapping pictures. Got one of sauconRunner & Noni and prae.

Lori, I'm getting goosebumps reading this. Thank you for sharing your cheering perspective. It was a cold, wet day, and you are a trooper for being out there for so long to cheer us on. It was such a boost to round that corner and see all of you there, yelling and making noise for us. I only wish I had the chance to cheer on some peeps myself! Thank you, for your good vibes and your great spirit! You're the best!

Thanks!! You guys were awesome! I think that half the reason I went back out was so that I could come through the cheering section again!! You guys rocked! And Theia was right - the race announcer totally loved you!

And thanks also for setting up the Friday night festivities!

Aww man, what an awesome recap. As one of the crew who couldn't attend, your point of view really helped me to see how our guys and gals did. Thank you so much for sharing!
