does your 2010 get you in, was it in the 18 month window? if not, do you have a race?

Nope May 2010 is 28 months from September 2012 (Note: They cancelled 2011 WC race) - I have no qualifying races in the March 2011 - June 12, 2012 qualifying window. Its back to scratch.

I agree the qualifying rules and period - I just have to get this old tub of lard fat-ass body back into shape

Race #1 NorthCoast 24 - Although only 4 weeks after Leadville 100M

Race #2 Some December 24 hour race

* San Francisco (http://www.coastaltrailruns.com/nyod_new_year_one_day.html)

* Others?

* Cornbelt

I ran Freedom park in NC last year (2009-10) on NYE and it was a good race, almost a mile loop, almost flat, but not quite, so there is some variation in muscles used. The weather can be very very cold and miserable.

Meri - When I think of Freedon Park, I think cold

Mutt - When I think Peanut Island - I think of sweating something off

I think I will try and hit either ATW or Desert Solstice in AZ if they have the races - They are a bit in flux right now.

just being nosy ... why was the world championship cancelled this year?

hope you find races you like and that you kick bootie enough to make it back on the team for 2012!

All the info I have

Thanks

I have no idea what this year will bring - I am just enjoying running and trying to find more balance than the last couple of years. It may mean I will not be able to muster the needed 24 hour mileage - I am OK with that ... But I am sure going to try.

well, that's frustrating ... but at least they tried to find substitutes ... what a bummer :-(
