R.I.P. Bosox and Braves

5.6 hippy drippy miles this morning. You could have cut the humidity with a knife this morning. It just almost burned it was so sticky. Only going to hit 95 today. I'm going to freeze in Maine!! Actually a small cool front is suppose to hit Friday and drop temps into upper 80's in afternoon and maybe below 70 in the mornings. We'll take it.

Will run again tonight. Skipped yesterday's running altogether. Yes I did, and I don't care.

eta: good luck with your race Heme; I'm sure it will go well rain or shine.

Gday Gang,

I hate humidity and basically we get a lot in the summer in Montreal. The 2011 Montreal Marathon was held last weekend and the day was hot with 85% humidity. A 30 year old male runner collapsed and died running the marathon. Thet say it was cardiac related but no updates if an autopsy was done.

No running for me this week I have a sore spot on the lower calf that was burning during a short run on the week-end not sure if it's the calf muscle or the achilies either way I'm icing and stretching daily and it seems to help.

Drat... had a whole post done and it disappeared on me!!!

Roly.... that was quite a shame about the guy in the Montreal marathon. Hard to have predicted that amount of H&H.

Easy on stretching that calf/Achilles until it stops hurting.

Hi Mike! Hi KS! Hi Johnny! Hi TW!

Thanks for the best wishes for the 5K! Everything went off like clockwork... just a wee bit of rain, but no last minute changes to the course needed. We raised $14,000 with 122 runners and walkers...... and the best part....... the whole shebang was won by a woman who just started in the legal department this last Monday.... in 19:06...chicked everyone......... pretty good considering that most of 3 thru 4 km is up a huge hill!

Now I can sleep and tomorrow try to get some real work done!

And maybe run.
