Morning hard training masters

Evanflein - MrsG does seem to be on the mend, occasional stomach cramps but not the same severity as before and mild foot discomfort. Quote from her about this mornings run.

"Progress is when the cold temperture bothers me more than the pain in my foot"

I was out at 5.15 this morning for 10.5 miles at just under 8min mile pace, today I was even joined by 2 of the young lads I coach. Winter training is well and truely rolling.

Ramping up for my assault on VRAA I went out on the bike at lunchtime and by the end of the day(commute home) I will have banked another 18 miles.

A little nervous about this evening but I need to get this done.

Take care all

Hey, I've said that before! Hope she continues to improve. What did she do to her foot?

Hi Choovie!

Another gorgeous day here. I sure wish I had time to get things done around here after work, but it seems I'm doing all sorts of errands and chasing around all evening. Tonight will be no different with date night planned... movie at our fave movie/bar joint so start the carbo loading with sweet potato fries! Yum.

I'll run at lunch, just a few easy miles on the bikepath.

Evanflein - she has PF, battling it for a year now but finally there looks to be recovery.

I think she is getting excited by the prospect of some real miles again soon.

KS - does sound like we could have run together, that may happen one day :¬)

LOL MC - 79 is a glorious summers day here.

poor Mc. . . although I'm wondering why he keeps his home so blasted hot!

I miss Econo already. Maybe a once a week pop-in?

Will get in a run after work tonight - sandwiched in between work and my son's football practice. One of the dad's on my son's team is registered for P2P this wknd. He's run a few 50 milers before, but this will be his first 100. I hope he's there tonight so I can chat with him - see if he feels ready (does one ever really feel "ready" to run 100 miles?). But I'll see him at check-in Friday, although it gets so busy at checkin that it's not like you have time to visit really.

have a good day everyone!

Hi everyone. Ran 8 miles today, slow and labored. There was a boredom element that hadn't been present in my previous longer runs, don't know what's up with that. I think I miss my running partner.

I'm looking forward to my deep tissue massage tomorrow. Hopefully that will take care of the calf tightness I've been having lately.

Have a good rest of the day, folks!

Hi gang!

Nice runs today!

It was a planned XT and core day for me. 30 minutes on the spin bike, a couple of core exercises, a nice long stretch and then a date with an ice pack. PT thinks that maybe I have a "frayed" or "slightly torn" medial meniscus and is hopeful it'll respond to a bit of therapy (ultrasound and TENS with suction).

The knee, plus the word today from my boss that my workload is about to get totally unreasonable whether we like it or not, has me rather bummed.

I need a drink...............

Sorry 'bout that, Heme. I hate losing control of my workload. Hope your knee responds well.

Hi, Pie! Hope you can come by more often. We almost had to change our intro line for the forum.

Tamster, I don't know if I'm ever ready to run anything. The 31 miles on Saturday still seems like a goofy idea, but I'm gonna do it anyway. And I was wondering the same thing about mc's in-house temps. I thought everyone in AZ had rockin' AC...

4.5 miles today, easy effort and even used the HRM for the first time in ages. Average HR was 146, so I guess I kept it easy enough. Kept thinking of bEeker though and how he runs so many miles in the 130's... I was up to that just trotting across the road to the trail.

Gorgeous day, I so did NOT want to come back to work. The movie we're seeing is "The Girl Who Played With Fire" and I haven't seen (or read) anything earlier, so hope I know what's going on. Anyone seen that one?

Heme, speaking as someone who thought they had a slight tear in the medial meniscus (heck, my PT's tests said I was "non-presenting"), and who is now missing more than half of it, I highly recommend you visit an orthopedic specialist. An MRI of the knee can tell you if it is the type of tear that could heal by itself, or if I will require surgery. And I'll have a drink with you and OM; we'll pour a glass of Pinot Noir for Erika while we're at it.

6 miles of hills in the pouring rain. The inside liner of my shorts was wet after about a mile. But I did remember to Body Glide, so no bloody nipples. 7:48/mi pace.

Erika, my running qualifies as trotting compared to you. My highest-ever-recorded HR is only 181 by the way. Yours is much higher.
