My chest still feels a little sore, even now, a week later. But it doesn't seem to have affected my running. So today I'll try to get back into a regular groove. That probably means a long hill run. We'll see what I feel like later on...

5.4 miles this morning. Pushed hard the last mile to beat an approaching thunderstorm (made home about 2 minutes before the rain started). The lightning was pretty impressive in the distance.

Hi Everyone!!

I have some trouble replying from work from time to time, so although I've been reading, not so good at the responding. Had a great weekend seeing Lora at B&B's and a sweatbath of a LR yesterday. It may have been THE hottest run I've ever had--dewpoints at record levels and then end in direct sun. I was really proud that my friend finished 17 and I did the 19 needed (although slightly broken up)

GREAT running this weekend, everyone!

I've been hitting my paces and mileage, but would like to still drop a few #'s before the marathon. I've been focusing on eating better but the truth is, I need to get more serious.

I get to go away this weekend from Wed-Saturday--to a friend's "lake cabin" which is really a huge home near a beach. Yay!!!!! Sadly, there has been some personal drama--one of my best friend's brothers died last weekend and this weekend my BIL was in a motorcycle accident (broken leg,but will be OK). I need some time away!

Feel better, Bob! Happy Birthday Ecca and Cindi!!

Greetings all. Weights are done for the day. Will get some core in at some point. I've decided to go ahead and take my forced rest period, and already, I think I'm feeling much better. Still tired (normal), but not as fatigued if that makes sense. While I'm itching to jump back in the saddle, my quads are still feeling rather oof-ish, so I'm going to give them a few more days. By the latest, I'm back out and about for a LR on Saturday, hopefully feeling very refreshed and ready to go!

howdy peeps.

I had a busy weekend of fitnessy stuff, as I posted last night. Ran 1.5 Fri, walked 3 or so Sat, biked 12, and walked 3 yesterday.

I might run a little tonight...or just take it easy and get a pedicure.

Morning. Busy and very fun weekend. Lora is now off to Vegas as of this morning.

The half didn't go anywhere near the way I wanted it to. Even though it was a little cooler, the humidity just killed me. I went through two miles at what I wanted to do and jogged the rest of the way. Well not really jogged, but ran at a decent effort.

Saturday we had a BBQ after the race. It was good fun, but too much beer and too much heat.

Sunday got up and did a quick 7 miler in some amazing heat and humidity. Was thinking about doing 10, but no way. Us Minnesotans don't do well in this stuff.

Then we rented these sweet bikes and took Lora around Minneapolis. We were dripping by the time we were done. But it was such a blast.

Somehow managed to get up this morning and get in 8. Very, very sweaty run.

Really glad you are feeling a bit better Ailarie! Sometimes just a break in the routine will do wonders.

I have a bike for 30 min today and then a strength class tonight. Trying to decide if I shower once or twice today... do the bike now or do it before class? Decisions, decisions.

Also, since I know it is fairly obvious that I am tri training and Theia asked... I am registered for the Reed's Lake Triathlon

Good Morning!

I'm not running today, hammy was super sore yesterday (2 steps forward, 1 step back). I'll head out for a bike ride later. It's supposed to be in the 90's here today, eek, so nothing too crazy.

Kind of a strange weekend for me, I saw one of my brothers who I haven't seen for over 12 years. I love being back in MN, but the family stuff is pretty complicated and very stressful.

Duck, I hope Porter is doing okay today.

Sounds like a fun time at the B&B!

Do any MN folks want to be coaches race (5k or 1/2) on Sept. 11th? I would like to drive over, even if I have to jog it, it was fun last year!

Yikes Melis! Hope BIL is okay! Okay as you can be with a broken leg, anyway!

Nice running this weekend folks!

I have 4 miles on the schedule today but my wonky shin is a little twingey so I'm listening to it. If it feels okay later maybe I'll run on it slow and easy after work, if not I'll make today a rest day. I have 10 miles to run tomorrow and I'd rather make that 10 miler work than try to force both runs.

I am really ready to be done with this humidity. Realllllllly.

I am still hurt. And really really really really bummed out by it. Although I am improving, which is a good thing. I am going to try to run short tonight after work to see if my body will cooperate. But I feel like a sloth after doing absolutely nothing exercise-wise this weekend. :(

Awesome! Go go go!!

I did a quick miles to km conversion, but 17.2 miles doesn't equal anything meaningful as far as kilometers. (I thought maybe it would be 25K or something.)

Good weekend for me. Well, Friday's track workout was The Big Suck. So bad that I seriously thought about dropping out of my half on October 3. I still might.

But then I had a really nice 30 mile bike ride on Saturday and a super sleazy 8.8 mile run and an 1800 meter swim yesterday, and I'm feeling a bit better about things.
