Good Morning,

Week 2 of working again starts for me today. Another dark and humid run for me. Just my normal 5.2x miles in 48:55. I am SO ready for some cooler temps. Hopefully it cools off some this weekend for my races. I doubt it. It never is cool for them.

I did run last week but I never dragged my butt into this forum to post them. I will try and do better from now on.

Later.

Good morning FB, R.ruiz. I will be heading out after my breakfast settles a bit. 5-6 miles for me. It is suppose to be a cut back week. With a 5k this saturday it will be nice to do a few miles less.

Just an easy 3 in store for me this morning. Heat and humidity back in full swing this week. Looks like at least 4 days in a row of 100*+

Scheduled rest day for me but I'd thought of getting up, jogging to the gym and doing some weights. Either my alarm didn't go off or I slept through it but it didn't happened. Probably a good thing.

Dan - rest is good

BBS - that's some serious heat. Keep cool and hydrated.

Loopy - Nice job on the 8. Sounds like your legs are getting with the program

kfuller - don't tell Chances that you are doing 5.6... enjoy the lighter week.

RR - slow is relative.

FB - where are you working now?

BBS- I am not sure a sub 20 is in the works for this weekend. It is a pretty tough course. Some long hills after the halfway point. I am shooting for sub 21 at this point.

I got in 5.35 miles in 45:27(8:30). Overall it was a nice run this morning.

Dan/RA- enjoy the rest

Kevin- I hear ya. With this heat, looks like my 5K will be another "survival mode" race

Got in my 3. Did it in what I'm hoping to be my goal MP (about 8:20). Breathed through my nose the entire time, except when a dog came out of nowhere and came real close to biting me. Never seen the dog before... scared the crap outta me, not that it was gonna bite, just wasn't expecting it!

Hello, all. Flyby, as traveling all day with fam today. Looking forward to getting back to work -- can use the rest.

18-miler with 12 at MP yesterday. Moderately hilly, and averaged 6:56 for the 12-mile pace portion, including a 6:23 final mile. Pleased with that in the heavy shoes. Spent today.

Kevin -- 5.35? You're killin' me.

Hey Monday people,

Today's normally my rest day but I'm shuffling the schedule around because I think tomorrow may end up being a rest day. That means I will probably go for 12 this evening.

Heat & humidity is returning here too, starting tomorrow. We've got a couple of real scorchers ahead this week, which should make marathon training very interesting.

Sorry no time for individual comments today...happy running, resting and traveling to all.

Flyby as I'm on a borrowed computer. Enjoying vacation here in NY. Had a bit of "tailwind" yesterday so got in much earlier than expected. Stayed up way too late talking with my friend. Up early this morning to get a run in before the 7am breakfast. I think it was around 6.5m, not sure of time. Not a flat spot to be had! But, it's BEAUTIFUL here! Went canoeing before lunch. Basically, just hanging out doing a whole lot of nothing!

I think the internet ate my post. I had a nice post written up and it disappeared.

Anyway, nice runs today and enjoy your rests! I'm resting after yesterdays 17.7 mile run on the trails. This was monumental in that it was the longest run I've ever completed time-wise: 4 1/2 hours. Hills, hills and more hills, that's all this run was. So glad I had a group of others to do this with. Everyone agreed that for as hard as it was, none of us would have gone for the second loop if it hadn't been for the group.

Good day all.

Late post for me. Great job everyone, not enough time to comment to all.

Me - 1 x jumped from airplane in flight this morning. Afternoon run on the TM since it was way to hot and humid to run outside in the heat of the day, 7 mile at a 7:20 pace. Then straight over to the pool for 1000 meters with a MS of 500 meters steady at race pace. It was short but atleast I did something.

Happy training everyone.

I now work for Deutsche Bank here in Jacksonville Florida. The position is very similar to what I had at Blue Cross.
