Morning all! I'm caught in the evening run cycle at the moment and couldn't wake up this morning for my run so back to the evening again - argh. Need to break this and get back on track with the morning miles.

Tim R - I was totally trailing a "you" last night on my run... "you" even stopped to pee alongside the river which only further confirmed it was actually "you"

fun: Ragnar is only 8 days away! We decided to add a RollerGirl type of theme to our team. We all are dubbing ourselves with alter egos with either RED in the name or something similar. I am RUBY CLIP-HERS

AWESOME!! We're going with a little bit of a pirate theme this year for RTB. Will MN Red Chicken be there again? Also donning a roller derby name?

I'm really tight. How many times a week should one do yoga to get benefits from it?

You really only need once/week and it may take a couple weeks before you start feeling many of the benefits - like running, consistency is key. You'll find yourself leaning out quite a bit too in addition to feeling less tight. Ideally I aim for twice/week but that doesn't happen most of the time. If you find that hard to keep up, just use 10 mins or so every morning or evening and perform basic moves like downward dog, sun salutations, etc.

3.27 glorious (although, humiddd!) miles this morning with the girls (aka watermelon and bella) along the east river. it started raining near the end and it was just SUCH a welcomed relief.

I think we are going to just drive around/shop a bit and then hang out with my sister and her kids at their soccer game and then get something yummy to eat. I'll stop by to see one of my brothers (he's in a nursing home, had a terrible stroke many years ago after a surgery and has a huge number of complications--both of his legs have been amputated and he only has use of one arm), this could go either way since he isn't really right mentally after his stroke. I hope it goes well but I'm prepared for just about anything.
