Supah humid here too. You could cut the air with a knife. BUT, I got 5 miles in! Back was stiff, but not painful. Loosened up after a mile or so, but didn't want to push it yet.

Gak. It's SO uncomfortably hot here. Beastie had to lay down in the middle of our just-under-3 miles. Although he did have fun flirting with the ladies at the golf course.

3 miles this morning in the humidity. My allergies are killing me. Head feels like it's gonna explode. Gah!

My left hammy is a bit wonky. I need a massage. Yes, that would be most excellent.

Yeah, I went and looked at my log from this week last year and I've noticed that across the board, the temps are 10 - 12 degrees hotter than they were at the sames times last year. Add the humidity in and blah, it's awful.

Good morning!

Swim this morning and I'll do a run this afternoon. I don't know if it will be outside or in the basement on the TM... ah yes, suffering in the heat and humidity. This morning was complete fog, which means that it was near 100% humidity!

I know what you guys mean about the heat this Summer. I was really feeling it on my run yesterday. 9 miles of hills when it was 96 degrees. It wasn't insanely humid, but it wasn't really dry either. I was dragging ass near the end of that...

Today I'll do something short and easy before I have to pick the kiddo up from school. Hopefully I won't be a sweaty stinky mess when I walk into the daycare. Usually I'm not after a slow 3 or 4 miles. But that might not be the case today...

Wow, the heat and humidity is everywhere. 74 and 100% humidity at 5:30 this a.m.! That is just disgrossting.

Why is it that every time I plan to arise early to get a mid week medium long run in - I sleep like crap? Last night my feet were cramping like hell and waking me up. So at 4:30 my alarm went off and I felt awake enough but quite pukey. Couldn't even drink my coffee. Plus I had to more to do this morning packing up all the food in the cooler to take to my Mom's this morning so I just laid down until I felt a little better then walked the dog and got moving. Not a pleasant morning.

I'm leaving work early to take DD to the eye doctor so I'll have a little extra afternoon/evening time so my new plan is to rent a movie from Redbox and try my 10 mile run on my treadmill at home after work. Any recommendations??

Lifted last night again - man ~ it was a hard one

Got up at 5 this morning to do the 'track' workout on the roads and before the heat/storms. Like Goon said, it was GEEROSS out. Already 77 when I got out the door and 100% humidity. Between that and the lifting, my paces were carp and I misremembered how many intervals i had to do so I did 4 instead of 6 400s in the beginning and 3 instead of 6 300s at the end (30 min tempo in the middle). I dont' think I could have done anything more anyway.

Howdy all - 5 mi easy yesterday. Today I go in for my weekly ART session; fun stuff heh

Maybe I need to travel to your heat/humidity infested parts of the country to bring some cooler weather - Columbus was for the most part tolerable the time I was there.

Tough morning. Warm and super humid. Was supposed to be 6x400m at 5k, 30 minute tempo, 3x300m tempo. Hit the 400s near pace (around 1:30-:34) and not even close on the tempo and bagged the 300s. Not a good effort, lifted last night and legs were dead. Also, a little effect from the weekend's "effort." Cut the cooldown short too.

This has been a rough summer, usually we get a day or two with dew points above 70, I think half my runs lately have been run with the dew points in the 70s. I just haven't felt like I've adapted at all.

Oh, last night, I ran a quick four when it was 95 out. So this year, I've my coldest (-25) and hottest runs.

(((Warm weather peeps))) We're spoiled. It's 56 with no humidity right now on its way to 78.

I have to figure out some exercise for later today. I need to check with our trainer to see when I can use the underwater treadmill over the next month or so while I'm on running hiatus.

Hi all.

Worked really late last night, then hustled to the gym to work out until it closed. Got 3 miles in on the DM. Man, my cardio is Teh Suck right now, but it was a good warm up.

Hard lifting for the next hour, with intermittent bouts of situps and occasionally jump back on the DM for a quick sprint - just cuz I wanted to.

My new gym (I will miss it SOOOO much!!!) is incredible. Beautiful, well-equipped, etc. - And that's just the staff!

When I work out at night, I am often the only one there. At most, there are 3 or 4 others. It's great. I spent about 2 hours there. Kicked my own ass, and was able to really clear my head. Love! Love! Love so much!

Mindi, glad to hear your back is feeling better.

7 done this morning in uber humid weather, hammy felt so so, not too bad. I had a tad of quad fatigue from that 40 mile bike ride, but overall felt better than I would have guessed. I'm going to try to get the bike over 50 next week, so much fun riding up here. I don't think I'm working nearly hard enough on the bike but these longer rides are still a learning process. I was planning on a OWS with MrJenRuns later but I think it might storm. At least it supposed to be cooling off a bit.
