<p>It is the run in Marathon, Florida, in the Keys. It is the only day of the year that the bridge is closed to traffic, and the lucky 1500 people who got in the race run the length from the north (east) end to the south (west) of the only bridge connecting the middle and upper keys to the lower keys. </p>

<p>I was one of those people this year, and it was a really cool experience. </p>

<p>I wrote a report about the race on my blog -- <a href="http://solarpoweredlife.blogspot.com/2011/04/7-mile-bridge-run-marathon-fl-2011.html" target="_blank">you can read it here</a> -- but I wanted to put a post in this forum because if anyone searches for info about this race, there isn't a ton out there. You can find how to enter the race, and you can find a few other people's recaps of their experience, but there isn't a lot about the logistics for racers or the info for spectators, etc. Hopefully my report will give some help, or anyone can PM me if needed, if they are ever in need of more information for this race! </p>
