What the others said, TW.... probably routine. But will be thinking of her Mon/Tues regardless. Have fun tomorrow.

Good 14, HappyFeat! Yes, you are probably feeling the extra mileage. I've found that when you're building miles, it's good to take a cut-back every 3 weeks or so.

Hi Tamster! Hi Mike!

Glad that beginner cyclist wasn't more badly hurt, and didn't take more riders out with her, KS.

The race today was fun. Got assigned to run the most remote water station this morning, deep in a gorgeous part of the woods, with a couple of students as helpers. Turned out it wasn't as far in as it was supposed to be, as the conservation truck couldn't navigate over a fallen tree. That left a 5K gap through the toughest terrain between water stops, on one of the hottest days yet this year. So we warned as many as we could that they'd be dry until they hit the 9K point. The kids were both from the suburbs and got treated to the sight of a deer and fawn on the way in and chipmunks on the way out..... the first of each they had ever seen. It was tough not to be running it, but was glad to be useful and in such a beautiful place.
