May 12th was the only day it's rained in CC since Jan. 1st. Chances of isolated thunder showers for next two days.

5 sultry miles this morning is all.

Went to dentist with my broken tooth. He is sending me to oral surgeon to see if it can be saved. He can't see me til next week and I'll be gone all week with kids at youth camp. When I get back he'll be on vacation a week. So I've got a while to wait. Dentist and I agreed to glue the tooth back together and hope for the best. :)

Mornin' KS! Good luck with that tooth!

After a hard spin class yesterday, saw my RMT for the first time since the calf went kablouie. He gave me some very specific strengthening exercises for the soleus, plus a progression plan for when I can get back to the point of running 5K continuously.

45 min of pool running this morning before work. Let's just say that I think I understand TW a bit more now!

Progress Heme!!

Well I went to the dentist. He is not sure if tooth can be saved so he is sending me to an oral surgeon who will make the determination. If it can be saved they will have to build up one side so a crown can be made for it. If it can't be saved then the tooth has to be pulled and a an artificial tooth put in. The problem is that they can't see me till Tues next week and I'll be away at church youth camp all week. When I get home my oral surgeon will begin his vacation for a week; so it's gong to be an ongoing deal. So I asked the dentist to glue my tooth back together until we do more. He did that for a gal a while back it stayed together for a year. I only need 3 weeks.

Sprinkled hard for a bit this morning. Still overcast and hoping for more.

Good luck with the teeth Ks....I've had to have a couple pulled and replaced with a permanent bridge. Works fine, but you need this special loop thing to floss 'em.

Nice pool runnin Heme, and it's good to hear you have some specific strengthening exercises for the calf. When I hurt mine I just ended up doing one legged calf raises on the injured calf. What's he have you doing?? BTW....I agree, now that you understand tomwhite, please explain him .

HappyFeat....I got a late start yesterday, probably face planted around 9:45 AM, so the gremlin must of hopped a commercial flight from southern oregon to the Olympic Penisula in order to trip you.

4.5 easy miles in the woods, 4th day in a row of running. Have to work tomorrow so I'l have a rest day, (if 8 hours on your feet in the sun can be considered a rest day)

Just sayin' ..............that enough of that gawdforsakenly mind-numbing activity would have some seriously deleterious effects on my already fragile mental state......... just sayin'

Johnny, my RMT has me doing sitting calf raises, which takes the gastroc mostly out of the equation, isolating the soleus, unlike the standing ones. I was doing plenty of the standing one-legged calf raises before this happened.

He wants me to follow that up with plyometrics, starting with skipping and then to hopping ......side to side, and front and back... first just over a rope, then up and back off a step.

Looks like most of the regulars have shown up today. I'm off for an eliptical workout. Foot felt pretty good mowing today but back will keep me out at least another couple weeks.

A couple years ago, I had a tooth glued together until the crown could be made. I think it lasted 3 days
