Anyone doing anything cool today?

My fun of getting the roof replaced is on hold for a bit. The guys did an amazing job yesterday, and got probably 40-50% of the roof replaced already. The rest of the work will go more slowly due to more angles in what's left. They cut out around 1:30 yesterday due to the heat. Unfortunately, Stacey (the main guy of the family based company) lost one of his brothers due to a heart attack last night. I told them to take as much time as they needed to be with the family and handle arrangements. I figure by next Monday, they'll resume work, because for most people, returning to a normal routine is part of the healing and coping process - but now is the time for them to be with family. I wouldn't expect or want for them to be anywhere else right now.

It reminded me of how quickly we lost Voo. So, while I certainly do not wish to start today's threads on a sad note, please consider this as a reminder to be sure that those in your lives know how much you care about them. Give hugs and kisses and compliments freely. With that being said...

{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{ 30's }}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} (and I never know if I just hugged or groped the lot of you. Hopefully you'll appreciate the effort, in either case!) :)

I'm wearing Capri pants and steel toed shoes. I'm sexy as hell today!

I got 5 boxes packed last night and loaded a couple dozen more boxes in my car this morning at work. The crazy lady I work with has decided she's sick today so I get to do her job and my job today which is totally awesome. It also means I wont make it to the dmv tonight to change my address which is even awesomer because I'm over night kid sitting for the rest of the week.

One fun thing all of my references were called and all reported back to me that everything went well!

Hey, all. Fun last night was getting a random package in the mail from my best friend filled with gummy strawberries, which always make me smile. She had her friends in Ohio mail them to me since they're pretty hard to find.

Today's not fun is my ultrasound, which I think is causing sufficient anxiety for me to have a little trouble breathing on the TM this morning. It doesn't help that I'm kinda congested, but not really. I have to run to the office to drop off some exams for one of my TAs, but I may go home between my ultrasound and my mani/pedi this afternoon. I'm trying not to be too guilty about slacking off this week (and next), but at some point, I need to accept that I deserve a little bit of a break.

Today is going to be around 91*. It's currently 78* with 69% humidity. I had the heat on this weekend. I'm sure that's not helping my breathing either. /end whine

That's all I've got. Have a good one today!

Follow up with my doc this morning to view the MRI. About a quarter sized boney effusion (basically there is fluid accumulation in the bone) which is a sign of stress injury. No weight bearing activity 4-6 weeks. No squats, lunges, and keep the walking to a minimum!

So the overhaul of my diet and activity starts today!

Wonderful pictures yesterday of little ones!!

I haven't been around in a while, but the few times I've popped in I have appreciated a shout out or two. Clearly I've missed a lot...not sure why you're having an u/s Prae, but I hope everything is ok. And Wipi, I didn't know you were moving. Sounds like you have a potential new job in the works though which is good- I know yours has been annoying you for a while.

Lets see- what else. Still very much struggling with PPD and DH is traveling most of this month so it's hard to get everything done being back at work and dealing with 2 kids on my own. But...some days are better than others and I'm surviving.

Hugs to everyone. I have missed you.

Wippy - 5 boxes last night? Your goal was 1 box a day, yes? cool. You're way ahead of schedule, then!

Amichel - Thanks for the grope/hug clarification. Sorry to all for inadvertently being frisky this morning!

Prae - gummy strawberries? You have my attention, girlfriend. Wishing you good vibes and good results from your ultrasound today.

Phdatc - Yuck! On the flip side, at least you know what's going on now, and can start what's necessary for recovery. Plop your bike on a trainer in front of the TV and free spin in the evenings. (I did that for so many nights when I couldn't run for recovery/healing issues)

KJ - It's good to see you in here. I hope this month goes much easier for you than you anticipate. Remember to let others help you out, chica. /lublub ya.

KJ!!! I'm glad to see you on here! I hope things are going well and your PPD starts to loosen it's hold on you. You guys are much stronger than I!!

so my landlord just called telling me that he was planning on selling my house and asked if I wanted to buy it and I told him that today in the mail he will get a note saying that I was moving out as of June 30th! So we had a chuckle about that and he asked what needed to be done so I gave him the list and he's going to get on it. It was the first time in the 4.5 years that I've lived there that I ever talked to the guy!

Today's crazy busy here so it's a nice change of pace~~

KJ! Great to see you! I hope your stress level decreases dramatically and you're feeling like your old self soon. Hugs and kisses to the kiddos.

Well, the doctor said that my pelvis is beautiful, so I guess I don't have to worry about that. May all of you have similarly beautiful pelvises.

Hi all - fun is going through a background investigation interview (ha!) Actually, it wasn't too bad, but it did eat up some time I had for regular work.

More fun is flying out tomorrow to Columbus to hang with a certain someone for a week or so

KJ - good seeing you!

Tonya - ugh, that bites! Vibes for complete healing of what ails you

Winter - nice that you got some masculine nekkidness the other day

Prae - hurrah for pristine pelvises!

Ugh, I could probably use some more caffeine, but I'm resisting the temptation for now to grab another java

Gah. Today kicked my butt and I have a headache. I hope tomorrow is a bit less chaotic! At least this evening it's kid time at the hospital, that always perks me up.

Thanks for checking in KJ, I hope the PPD eases up soon.

Prae, glad the US went well.

Wippy, woohoo on the packing progress. I will not be that dedicated, most likely.
