<p>This is the 40x40 thread for those who run at least 40 miles per week and are over 40. This is a great motivational thread and free passes are given out generously. If you do run a race and post a RR, I'll try to link it in here.</p>

<div style="text-align:left;"><strong>Econo</strong> - 47 m. - 18 mile LR, and 5 days running.</div>
<div style="text-align:left;"><strong>Paul</strong> - 43.7 m. - LR of 18 miles & a 3rd in AG in a 5K on Saturday.</div>
<div style="text-align:left;"><strong>Peter -</strong> 46.6 miles - Peter is a running machine.</div>
<div style="text-align:left;"><strong>Plugging Along</strong> - 48.2 m. - Including a trail marathon and a 16 minute course PR!</div>
<div style="text-align:left;"><strong>Rassmussenmp -</strong> 77 m. - LR's of 21 and 15 miles. Your training program puts men half our age to shame.</div>

<p><strong>Dove</strong> - 17 m. - Cut back week after 51 miles last week. Certainly earned a pass.</p>
<p><strong>OrangeMat</strong> - 38 m. - Pass granted. 18 straight days of running. I don't know the proper Yom Kippur greeting, hope it was special though.</p>

<p>Saturday - 4 miles easy</p>
<p>Sunday - morning 2 easy, evening 13.1 long run time trial</p>

<p>total of 40.1 miles, 1st week of taper</p>
<p>season half marathon pr, 2nd fastest ever</p>

<p>I will not be hitting 40 miles next week (week 2 of taper).</p>
<p>The following week is the marathon and I might get 40 then.</p>

<p>Thanks Dennis. Since Yom Kippur is a fast day, most people wish each other to have an easy fast. Though just saying "happy new year" is never inappropriate. And while I do realize your query was probably rhetorical, there ya go, you've learned something new!</p>

<p>This week finds me back in San Diego for 10 days.  though the weather seems alot like Seattle (Mon and Tues) since then it has been beautiful.  Working 10 hour days except Sunday.</p>

<p>Tues: 7 miles am / 5 miles pm - <em><strong>7.0 miles AM at an aerobic pace / 6.0 miles PM at a recovery pace</strong></em></p>

<p>Wed:  7 miles am / 7 miles pm <em><strong>- 7.0 miles AM recvoery pace / 7.0 miles PM recovery pace</strong></em></p>
