This is the 40x40 thread. To qualify: Be at least 40 years old and run 40 miles per week. This is a great motivational thread and free passes are given out generously. If you do run a race and post a RR, I'll try to link it in here.

Wed: 6 miles recovery pace

Thurs: 4 miles very easy pace

Fri: Wishbone Marathon - drove down to race (20 miles), talked to the RD who told me the course was muddy and slippery. So not wanting to end up on the injury list. I opted not to run and went home. 3 miles easy

Sat: Ghost of Seattle Marathon run on the old Seattle Marathon course: met up with another runner about 1/2 mile into the run who happened to be running my pace (4:00 hr) which is what she needed to BQ. So I paced her to a 3:58:xx finish. lots of fun. first time this race sold out. Francesca sighting both at the Seattle marathon expo and at the race.

Sun: Seattle Marathon - felt good for the first 18 miles (8:30 pace), then no energy. Walked most of the hills with my only goal being sub 4 hrs. I finished in 3:55:xx. So I negative split the 2 marathons. legs feel pretty good, just tight and tired. And I can't seem to get enough food in my tummy. Did have a divechief and Francesca sighting.

total: 77.4 miles
