This is the 40x40 thread. To qualify: Be at least 40 years old and run 40 miles per week. This is a great motivational thread and free passes are given out generously. If you do run a race and post a RR, I'll try to link it in here.

Dennis, Just wanted to congratulate you on your great consistency of 40 mile weeks. I think I made it about half the year.

Hope your arch feels better soon. Arch pain is what put me out this summer and I believe it is originating from my sciatic nerve. Hope yours is much more minor.

Great to see you back in here Rip. Hope your arch pain heals.

Thursday Morning Update: The last 3 days, I've ran 6, 6 and 7 miles all on a TM. I've done it in 1/2 mile and 1 mile intervals. That's about as far as I can go without pain forcing me to stop. I take a break for 10 minutes and can go again. I also believe I know what it is. I've been off work for 2 weeks which means I have been mostly barefoot around the house sans shoes and orthotics. The orthotics I've worn for a couple years because of previous battles with P.F. and I actually forgot they were in my work shoes. So now I believe my foot is reacting to not wearing them. Testing theory today.

Thursday Evening Update: I wore shoes all day today, then went out and had a nice & absolutely pain-free 8 mile run. Glad that's resolved. Just need to quit living like a hillbilly. :)
