The ice finally melted off of my road. FINALLY! Yesterday was my first run outside since early November. It's funny how you run and run on a dreadmill and never get any where. You run through the morning news you run through the Super Nanny and Wife Swap. You run to get through a meeting and to make it through work but your never getting any where. But once you get out on the road and you have a destination in mind it makes life worth it. Even though it was 40 degrees it made for the most perfect weather ever.

Spring is just around the corner. Spring is just around the corner. Spring is just around the corner.

If I repeat it enough, I actually begin to believe it.

I'm terrified of ice. One false move one little slip and I'm afraid that I will never walk again. If anything even looks like it is going to have ice on it I wont go near it.

I hate running on treadmills, so I just don't do it. I've been attempting to always go outside to run. I admit though that sometimes because of ice, snow, or the super cold that there have been a few times this winter that I didn't run for two weeks.

Yesterdays run was an adventure though. If it wasn't unmelted ice to slip on, it was the huge puddles of melt water to step and get soaked in. Nothing better than freezing ice cold water in the shoes. I think I need to dry my shoes out before I run again...with the 2-3 inches of snow last night it won't be today anyway.

Wipaddler: You must have some kind of mental stamina to run the treadmill all winter!!!
