<p>I'm filling in for Dennis this week</p>

<p>In case you are unfamiliar with this thread, it's called the 40/40 because you technically have to be at least 40 years old and run 40 miles for the week to post here.....but seeing that the number of posters are starting to dwindle....I'm running a special this week and relaxing the standards some. Dennis will be back soon to crack the whip...<img alt="" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/smile.gif" title=""></p>

<p>I'm back from Tennessee. Hiked a lot of great hikes over the last 9-10 days; at leastt 40 miles of steep hills. My right knee I had the scope on last year didn't hold up too well. Had a great deal of pain. The downhills were absolutely brutal on my knees. It is going to take me a few days to recover and build back up. Should be back to 40 next week and I can take over the thread again next week also.</p>

<p>Slipped last week in there, so this week should be a slam dunk:</p>

<p>Mon: 3.9</p>
<p>Tue: 6</p>
<p>Wed: 6.6</p>
<p>Thu: 7.6</p>
<p>Fri: 6.1</p>
<p>Sat: 0</p>
<p>Sun: .9 warm-up + 13.11 PR half</p>

<p>Total:  <strong>44.2</strong>, yay!</p>

Sounds like free passes may be handed out this week. With an offer like that, I just have to post.<br><br>
Monday: 4 recovery miles<br>
Tuesday: 5 miles (first 2 with my beginners)

<p>Tues:  10 miles <em><strong>- 11 miles aerobic pace with some MP intervals thrown in for fun.</strong></em></p>

<p>Wed:  14 miles <em><strong>- 15.0 miles aerobic paced.</strong></em></p>

<p>Thurs:  10 miles <em><strong>- 11.0 miles at a slow recovery pace.</strong></em></p>

<p>Fri:  5-7 miles <strong>- 7.0 miles nice and slow</strong></p>

<p>Sat:  10 miles <em><strong>- 7.0 miles slow, in prep for tomorrows long run, legs a little tired so cut it short</strong></em></p>
