Hey Dennis, I was procrastinating this week and was about to get around to putting up the tally tonight. But after nine years of this I'm finally starting to drift away from these running chat rooms (hooray for me, I guess). Or maybe it's just because this has been a very hectic week. As will be the current week. So thanks for the bail out. After posting the 40/40 for a few months I needed a break. Marathon training starts for me on January 5th. Maybe I'll rejoin you guys then.

Maybe this is a good time to assess whether we need a 40/40 thread on Kick. SS does a great job with the weekly thread, and since she color-codes the >40 weekly mileage, that could be motivation enough for those who need it. As we seek to (re)build our little community, we need things that bring us all together, and the weekly thread (which I've never posted on) may help do that better than a 40/40 thread. I make these comments as a 40/40 contributor (I even served a stint maintaining the thread last year), not an outsider. Something to think about anyway ...
