Bi/Tri/Core done so far. I still need thigh/butt work, though. Meh.

I didn't get my run in last night, waiting on one of the contractors to come and put that blue-tarp stuff over the exposed parts of the roof. They left at 7:45 and I just didn't care by that point. Ahh well. I've missed a few runs in the last 2.5 weeks with the excitement (/sarcasm off) in my life. What's one more run? :)

I didn't run last night either. This morning was a short TM run, little miss evil, and a bike ride after. 12 on tap for tomorrow. Gulp.

Amy - good luck on 12 tomorrow!!

Racing? Me! Me! I am doing a 10K tomorrow on my friend's "Cancer Sucks" team for the ACS. The whole fam damily is doing it and I expect it to be lots of fun! Lora is also doing the Bridges Run (not sure of the accurate name) in Florida too. Anyone else? I have a friend doing the Paris Marathon. How great does that sound?!

I slept in this morning because I decided to make rest a priority. This is my last "big" week and I am hoping to race a 10K, yet make it through the week unharmed. I will probably do 5-6 easy tonight, but I may skip it altogether if my legs are tight.

Tim - thanks so much for your encouragement. I will take them with me on race day. Hopefully after our great virtual training seasons, we will both simultanously virtually kick some butt out there on May 1!! :)

Cindi - YAY MEG! That is a really great time! She HAD to have done some good pacing to be at 7. Good for her! And glad to hear you had a little unplanned RFTL time!

Good morning all! I ended up taking a rest day yesterday after all, not entirely by choice as work stuff really heated up and I needed to be available for most of the evening and into the late night for some testing. At any rate, I'm up for some miles today before I head back out to the Midwest. Back to STL to run the STL Marathon Relay with my siblings on Sunday, wooohoooo!

Good luck Mindi & Lora!!!!

This morning I had an hour long ride on the stationary bike. Tomorrow I increase the distance to 4.5 miles in preparation for the upcoming 10k. That will be my longest run in over 2 years. I am hoping for a great run and a total turn around from last Saturday. I've set alarm already for tomorrow morning so that I am up and running before it gets hot. hehe

I ran 2.5ish last night (longer than I thought!) Very slow, and there was a little walking and some stopping (ostensibly to let Penny sniff around, but really? I was beat.)

Felt great to get out there, I have to admit. My legs are very sore today. :)

Whew, finally got out for a run. 6 miles and an attempt at tempo pace for the first time in way too long! 2 mi warm-up, 2 @tempo (8:05, 7:36), 2 cool-down. That's about normal for me and tempo pace w/out my Garmin or a track ...first mile is always slow, the second compensates. Normally by mi 3 is where I find the sweet spot. Oh wells, better than nothing.

When I stood up to leave work my back said HEY! Pffththt. It's not happy this evening, and I have no idea why. I haven't done anything to make it mad. I think I need to scale back a bit again after GC, PFFFFTHTHTHTHT.
