Morning all.

I did just over 6 recovery miles. Slow and easy does it. I am starting to feel really tired. Definitely ready for my taper!

Off to go do arms. Which reminds me - did I ever respond to you on that Cindi? You asked me if I do the Mari Windsor workout. Sort of. I do the standing series with 5 lb weights, then I do several other things that DH taught me with 12 lb weights. I finish off with 30 lb weights doing this side-thingy for my obliques.

I reset the alarm for extra sleep this morning. It's been interrupted every night this week and it just all caught up with me. Ideally, I'll still get 5-6 miles in later today...we'll see!

Brandy - are you guys doing the golden valley 5k or 10k Saturday? I'm not signed up yet, but thinking of doing one or the other.

Good morning everyone. A fall back day on the schedule for me. I completed a 2 miler at the park. Boy I am loving the mass of trees coming back to life with the deep green leaves on them. When I get off work I have my home gym workout. I think I will enjoy this new schedule from the 10k plan but I will have to adjust to Thursdays. This is the only day that I have to run and do something else. That presses me for time in the mornings before work. I will have to decide whether I will get up even earlier to knock out both before work or trust myself to not come home from work and skip the home gym workout.

Greetings, all.4M on the hamster wheel + bi/tri/core/butt work yesterday. Feels good to start getting back into my routine.

Had ad a bit of an amusing moment yesterday. I was on the TM, and I thought I heard a car door close outside. (Tm is in a closed-in garage, so the driveway is just on the other side of the wall.) The dogs didn't bark, so I figured it must be my neighbors. I kept on moving. After finishing up, turning the TM and TV off, i could hear footsteps. Turns out one of the roofers i contacted HAD been able to come out that evening after all, and he was walking around on my roof.

Making this all even more funny - I put the dogs inside and opened the side door to say hi. Problem: Since the break-in, I tend to keep the alarm on more when I am home... like when I'm running on the TM and can't hear much. On the front/back doors, I always hang a baseball cap on the doorknob, as a reminder when the alarm is on, so I don't set the thing off. Usually, I'm not trying to open side doors. You guessed it... the alarm goes off, just as I've said hi, and with one guy still on the roof (near the extereior siren). Oopsie!

I'll probably get another 4m on the Tm tonight. The same roofer is coming back to do some patch/cover work, so the frame doesn't get damaged by potential rain this weekend. At least this time, I shouldn't be setting the alarm off while he's overhead. :)

Hey all -- quick post from work. My home computer's at the shop getting files transferred from the old one to a new one I bought.

Got a swift but comfortable 6 miles done last night; no run today as I'm flying to FLA right from work. The bridge race is Saturday! I'm feeling good about my running, but my body won't be acclimated to the heat. Who cares, though -- this race is about fun and me getting back into racing after almost a year (except for the Urban HM) off.

Woot! Go Lora! I didn't realize the race was this weekend! Have fun!

Ailarie - funny how that works! I always seem to set mine off at crazy times too.

Cindi - yeah, I like what I do because it takes less than 10 minutes and I can do it in the morning when I am getting ready. It isn't a big workout, but it definitely makes a difference.

Maples - I am envious - we are not to that point in spring yet (at all).

Tim - glad I am not the only one. I keep telling myself it is good that I am tired now. I've put the work in.....

Brandy - yeouch! I am too chicken to do anything like that!

Undetermined as of yet. We have a group going but if my legs aren't there, I'll save the money and just to a w/o...maybe there.

I hate it when that happens. Especially on consecutive nights and you feel like you're getting thrown deeper and deeper into a pit of no sleep.

4.3 miles last night after work. The effort didn't seem to match up with my data from my garmin...it just didn't feel that easy.

7 miles this morning with 6x5 minutes at tempo pace with 30 seconds recovery. Nailed this workout. Hit 8:37, 8:41, 8:36, 8:40, 8:36, 8:37 for the tempo portions.

Debating about whether or not I should take today as a rest day. I don't really need it but if I don't I will be running 7 days this week. Maybe I'll just run something short and easy after work to stay loose, had a dentist visit this morning that made the early wake-up for a run unnecessary.

Amy - you can totally do those 5-6 after work, I'll virtually run with you!

Tim & Mindi and anyone else dealing with the taper or near-taper - hang in there, you've worked so hard!!
