<p>I've been watching videos of the spartan race this morning. I'm getting very psyched about doing it on the 30th of this month. The only things that concern me are whether there are water hazards (and my fear of going underwater) and hopefully not getting my feet taken out from under me by the finish line gladiators. Those folks are brutal! I'm thinking just charging one of the guys, and grabbing the fugel stick so it at least limits the angle that I can get popped with (though if the gladiator is big, he'll toss me around like a rag doll. As plan b, I can always charge him and jump up as if I were expecting him to catch me. Either he'll drop his stick out of surprise, or I'll land flat on my a$$, and maybe he'll have pity on me after that.

<p>(My friend who I conned into doing the event is not at all pleased with the gladiator / fugel stick thing, so I'm trying to sacrifice myself so she can get through relatively unscathed).</p>
