Wow! Sun boy, you are fast!

As for me, I was in NYC all day yesterday and saw the King Tut exhibit which was great (but very overpriced). Then we had dinner with DD and her hubby and didn't get home till way past 11pm, so I was too tired to get up early & run this morning. So I took my Saturday yoga class and will head out to the pool a little later on. Sometimes I don't know why I bother with the pool -- I use so much sunblock it's as if I'm still inside! LOL Regardless, it feels nice to have the sun on my body even if it can't penetrate all the chemicals.

Enjoy your day everyone.

15.5 hot and sticky miles at 9:04 pace. I thought about trying 4 to 5 hard tempo miles after 10 miles but it was too humid for that. So I put in a few faster miles at 7:55, 8:39, and 8:47. Everything else about 9 min/mile pace.

I may try a double today if I don't pig out too much at Cheesecake Factory tonight. DS and his GF are home for the weekend. Yay!

I really tried to go to yoga class this morning, honest! But the muse was just not there for me... So back to the park I went, 3.1 miles. Splits were all in the single digit range, which was nice for a change. Sadly, I'm not going to break 100 miles for the month, though over 60 of my 78.3 miles were run just in the past two weeks! Hopefully I'll be able to continue this trend AND remain relatively injury free.

I think it's hard not to pig out at Cheesecake Factory. They have ginormous proportions!

Nice TT mc (or should it be tt for you...) I'm not sure I've ever been as soiled as a diesel train.

My long lost sproinkness was returned to me today. I hope it's not temporary. 13 miles, 7:50/mi. It required almost no mental effort this time. Only enough not to get lost.

I'm out of here for a week. Heading to the Oregon coast for some R&R. No Internet or cell service. Woohoo!

Hi to, speedy OM, barefoot KS, sweaty Burger, and head-banging MC! You, too Lab!!

Training partner talked me into joining him for a 10.8 mile trail run this morning. Wasn't in the plan, and wasn't sure if the bod was going to cooperate after the pain meted out my my RMT yesterday (deep tissue massage and acupuncture with electrostimulation), but the morning promised to be only 15°C. Hadn't had more than 3 miles of road in the new XT Wings, so wasn't sure if they were going to hold up or not. We were slow, and the left AT started hurting about 4 miles out, but tightening up the lacing to pull the heel in a bit more snugly did the trick. So far no more sign of soreness.

Time for a shower and to get out in the garden before the zucchini take over the backyard!

In my world there has been swim, bike, run and a wedding reception. Two of our friends who are runners got married today, 2 years after they got together !!!!!!! Scary thing is they are both around 50 and have 10 or 11 kids between them from previous marriages. That said they looked like a couple of teenagers and we are very happy for them.

Quick analysis of last months training shows I did over 76hours !!!!

Simple Sat. for me....my dream Sat., actually. Slept in, went for a run, then I spend a few hours just playing around the garden...I think I lost the war against weeds today...so I gave up, got a great book and sat under my grape arbor and read and read and read and I wrote in my journal for a little bit.

I got a text from Mustang Sally about 90 mins ago stating they had two legs left and that Econo (Van 1) was probably already drinking beer. I figure they should be finishing right about now. That includes Millbot, assuming they didn't leave him somewhere in the high desert for being too rowdy.

Nice going relayers!

Some nice runs this month and today.

21 easy on the bike exploring my old neighborhoods near Mom's. Even got off and took a walk through Arden woods walking and carrying the road bike to find a geocache.

Then we went to Longwood Gardens. Mari, you and Paul would LOVE that place, if you ever get to the Philly area you absolutely MUST go. This was a good time of year as the flower garden walk was in high bloom. But anytime there is interesting and lovely.
