We have reached the quarter point - how is everyone doing towards their overall goal?

I am doing OK - I had one great week, and have been so-so ever since. Had a great week fitness-wise, but increased activity leads to increased hunger, so I had a craptastic week eating. Pizza 2x, ice cream 2x, and some birthday cake for a co-worker. Overall, I am up 0.5 # this week.

Yeah, I wish that this week would have been better. Much like Litch, activity was up, but eating wasn't where I wanted it to be, especially over the weekend. So... maintain for me.

Too much food this weekend sabotaged a great exercise week for me. Didn't gain any from last week, but was making good progress mid-week that vanished.

I made out really well this week, lost 2 lb! But I exercised every day and watched what I ate. I think I could have eaten a bit more, actually, but I got really paranoid about it. I don't like worrying about every single thing I eat. I want to have fun stuff once in a while without going overboard. That seems to be my problem. I'll think, "Oh, I can have this piece of cake and stay on track." But the next thing I know, I'm eating everything in sight! So instead of enjoying the cake, I end up not having any and wishing I did.

So, I'd like to hire someone to follow me around, telling me what I should eat, what I shouldn't, help identify best choices and alternatives to the food I'm eating. In other words, a food judge.

I'm sure I could find someone for a very low price to do that, right? :)

So, the actual weight loss isn't going so well - but my exercise levels have dropped off quite a bit in the past few weeks and that doesn't help at all. Neither does the food choices, though I must say I'm trying to be moderate. It's just that sometimes I am and then...sometimes I'm not.

At the quarter way point im not near were I need to be. While I am down from the start, I was hoping to have lost more weight. ALot of it is the empty calories I keep consuming in the form of Coke and the occasional chocolate bar. I know theres room for improvement, its just gonna take me being more stringent on my food choices.

I'm even for the week. Better than a gain, but.... I guess activity the last few days has been down, so I'm happy with being even.

I still think a regular schedule would be the most helpful thing for me.

If I did the math right, I'm down a little over 2% from the start. I signed up to lose ~7% so I'm slightly above pace. It's still frustrating how slow this process is.

Down .5 this week. Considering that I made a big steak dinner for the family last night, I'm pretty good with that.

I'm down 3.5 total since the challenge began and down about 6 since I started working on dropping weight in May. I'll probably drop another pound if I get my hair cut this week!

Not great on my overall goal, but the challenge has kept me from doing even worse while traveling. I leave Sunday for Vegas (I won't weigh-in at all next week since we'll be gone). My plan there is to eat as many fruits and vegetables as I can at every meal, drink lots of water, and walk for transportation as much as possible. When I get home, I will be ready to focus more.

Great, this means I'm behind my goal. Let's make it a 16 week challenge to make us all feel better!

16 weeks sounds good to me.

I weighed in this morning. Up .5 lbs. Not as bad as I feared it might be after the way I've eaten over the last few days. Back to being Mr. Discipline today, though!

I could do 16 as well; every day I think I'm on track, something derails me.

But I managed to get 2 miles of walking in at 11:30 this evening. So the day wasn't a total bust...

I don't think the 3 glasses of wine and plate of French Fries I had for dinner helped the cause much. Or the disgustingly good Mexican food for lunch. Someone save me from myself!
