Morning all! Nice and early out here on the East coast. Eating some yogurt now and getting myself together to head out to NJ and get some running done. 22 miles or thereabouts for me & a VRAA teammate, so please send some good weather, good running vibes - won't cha?

Will check back later ...good runs to all! And good luck to Philly Tom @his 5K ...bring home the pie dude!

EQ: buddy that was my thinking for sure. it was also what might have been my very first trail run plus, it was June and you know how it is in June there, you have to be super careful because all the big critters are having babies and being protective....
We see you lurking Ailarie, how'd the beer class with your DH and Beth go?
burnt knees- i was sitting in a chair in the sun, wearing shorts. I also got burned on my forearms, just not as much as the knees.
Hi kids...quick check-in, I had to jump in to pass on the so many congrats to go around this weekend!! P-Tom, Maria, EQ, Maples...not to mention those who stuck it out in bad weather and/or health!

I just finished a 5.75 - first 1hour+ run in some time...it was good, not to mention the new shoes I just picked up!

I've had a crazy weekend - bridal shower for my brother's fiance that my mom and I arranged Saturday afternoon...then over to my brother's house for his annual Pig Roast - though we don't roast the pig onsite any longer. I just go for the keg of Guinness! I did my best to help finish it off by 10pm Saturday night (we were slacking compared to past years). So I have major heartburn today and am relieved that the summer adventures are almost done. I'm so tired!!

I also have developed a bad case of tinnitus over the past week or so - the ringing in my ears is distracting me at work, I can even hear it while I'm running! - and I really really need to figure something out. There's something about low sodium, non-caffeine and alcohol-free diets that will help the noise, but I can't imagine getting rid of them all at once!

All right, now my dinner is probably burned, it's good to catch up with you all!!

Good runs!

Hey, before I forget blanket thanks to everyone that thanked me for setting up the CD Swap. Thank you all very much for participating!
Well, I just got caught up for this weekend. Congrats to Moon, Keriksen and everyone else that has had some great running lately. I know there are more, but for some reason, I keep getting logged off so I can't use the multi-quote feature effectively.

My running has been teh suck lately. I have officially turned this week into a recovery week and notched my plans for the next 2 weeks down by a couple ours each. I can blame the heat for some of it, but not getting up early has hurt since it is cooler out early. Work has been trying to "go-live" with a POS program with a plethora of bugs that has required a lot of my time (and of my fellow DBA's) to work on. The storm that blew through here on Thursday canceled my OWS and changed my planned 75 hill run to a less than 60 min flat run when I think I was dehydrated and started feeling some GI distress. I am planning on getting at least 60 min east in a little while, and that will be my first run since Thursday.

Well, tomorrow is a new week. With any luck, work will settle down, I'll get some sleep and get my early morning workouts in.

I can't wait for early morning runs and swims to be freezing cold in a few months.

Later folks...

Hello!?

There are 14 people viewing this thread, but nobody is talking.

What's new?
How you doin'?
I think everyone is trying to mentally prepare themselves for work tomorrow.
I'm just sitting here finishing up the CD for the 30s swap CD.

I hope my recipient enjoys at least some of it.
Wow, way to go EQ! I have to go see who I assigned you...
Nah! I'm still in denial that tomorrow is a work day
Hey all,

hope everyone had a great weekend. I'm just back from 5.25 east recovery miles. That wraps up another week of training with about 54 miles in the log. I know it's not up there with PC, Baggs, and now Maria and EQ, but by my records, this is my 3rd highest week ever. Legs felt good today after yesterdays brutal run.

Night all,
Timr
Good evening all,

Well, the total weekend exercise for me consisted of walking from the back parking lot to the new IKEA store in PDX, then cruising the aisles for a couple of hours. What a freakin' zoo!

I talked to Hippo on the phone this morning. Wow, what a crazy story he's got to tell. It's probably a good thing I didn't go up there. I'll link to his race report when he posts it.
Hi everyone.

Moon - congrats on your 10k PR. WTG!! Very true about the drunken posts and the race registering. I never managed to post last night, but there was a lot of drunkenness. When I register for Eugene I will make sure to have a few first to keep with 30's tradition.

{{{{KJ}}}} - I hope things get better for you soon.

EQ - congrats on the new PR.

Moe - It does suck. I hope you caught in enough time to prevent any damage.

Crane - I hope the vertigo is gone.

Bard - congrats on your longest run with out stopping.

Frankie - good night.
