I've been draging this week. It doesn't help that work has now decided they can kick my butt. Hopefully this up coming week will be more energy filled.<br><br>

Good Sunday morning 30-somethings!<br><br>
Well, I am awake finally and contemplating breakfast before I go for my 18 mile long run today.<br><br>
After the run, I have to cut the grass and do some laundry.<br><br>
I want to say thanks again to all of you for the kind words about the PR yesterday. I did not expect it at all.<br><br>
Oh and <b>mandaroo</b>, I didn't run from the cold in Alaska...I ran <b>because</b> it! That's how I kept warm you see. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Very Happy"><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Wink"> It wasn't until later that I figured out that curling up with a pretty young woman would have had the same effect. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Very Happy"> That's one of those things they <b>DON'T</b> teach at UAF. You have to go UAA for that course!

I'm so sorry for you <b>Theia</b>. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/sad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Sad"> I just watched the sportscenter high-lights from the game and WOW...What a game. And, they had 66,000 people there for it. Mr. Beckham did not disappoint, even though LA ended up losing. It's going to be interesting to watch. There's hope that his presence will do two things, one raise the level of play of the existing players both those on his team and those on the other teams, and two attract more european players to the league. We'll see what happens. Currently, the MLS is really not rich enough or prestegious enough to keep the top US and Canadian players from aspiring to go abroad to play in Champions league clubs.<br><br>
Just getting the first cup of coffee in me. I was dragging all day after the 20 miler. I have easy 5 on tap for late today. I've got honey do list chores to do around the house. Closet door to fix, kitchen sink faucet, and then start on the kid's bathroom remodel.<br><br>

Juan Pablo's not bad himself, tbh! I really need to start watching more soccer! It's the only game I can sit through and watch, even on TV. We've got free Fox Soccer Channel since yesterday for a few weeks. Might take advantage of that!!<br><br>
Well, did 7 miles. Wish I had done my 7.5, but I didn't know that my friend was not gonna show to yoga, and I was pressed for time after my friend from England called this morning while I was getting ready. She's moving to Spain in a few days, so I couldn't just talk later! Ah well... I did an extra mile yesterday so I guess that makes up for it. I could have gone farther, and I guess that's what counts! And I saw <b>Torque</b> riding his bike! He had the distinctive mustache and everything. It's funny because we looked at each other as we passed like we both were thinking <i>i know you!</i> Funny..... I've actually seen him often on the trail lately.<br><br>
Just watched a cool story on the Today show! George Michael- who owns the piano John Lennon used to write <i>Imagine-</i> is taking it to all these sites where there were tragedies (ie, VA Tech, NYC on Sept 11...) and putting it on display as a symbol of the song I guess is how it could be described (if you know the song/lyrics, it's pretty inspiring). Pretty cool... Would LOVE to see it. They said it will be in front of the Dakota on Dec. 8th where John got shot. Might have to bribe <b>Maria</b> to take a photo of it for me!!!<br><br><b>Crane</b> how did the TM go?? Hope that vertigo is gone soon! Do you know why you have it?<br><br><b>Jill</b>- do tell me more about your former life! HOW COOL! I love archaelogy, anthropology and sociology in general. Of course, my fave is lingustics. I want to get my PhD in either comparative linguistics or historical linguistics. Historical would be cool since I'd get to work in some of the anthro interest. If you haven't been to Jamestown, you should go! They still have active excavations going on and every year we go and see the progression. Very cool what they have been able to uncover (post holes from the original wood wall from 400 years ago!) What made you change? I know it's not all Indiana Jones, but the research would be fascinating.<br><br>
Ok, just cooling off with my coffee (i know, that sounds wierd!) and gonna get a shower and try to get the rest of my cleaning done around the apt. Exciting, I know!<br><br>

Just came back from 8.50miles (1:29:05) in the most perfect conditions. Beautiful run. So I made a mistake. I thought my 11 miler was last week, and I felt like I'd been slacking so i decided on 8 miles. Then I get home and log my run in only to realize I ran the 11 on Tuesday of this week. D'oh! I'm so mixed up with the days lately. It still felt great! I just feel like an idiot now...<br><br>
I slept well last night until the dog threw up on the carpet in my bedroom. I couldn't figure out if it was a gymongous hairball or a mouse...after that there was just no going back to bed. ewwwwwwwwwww.....gag....gulp....breath....ok i'm good!<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Very Happy"><br><br>
