Morning folks.... up and getting fueled (ok, cereal and coffee!) for the body pump class at the gym (group weight training basically). I will run 4 miles on the TM afterwards. I was gonna do it before the class, but then realized that would mean I'd have to be in my sweaty clothes or a while hour afterwards. Not comfy..

Meeting up with Ailarie and Radioyada for Beer Class at Taco Mac this afternoon. Woohoo!

Not much else planned for the weekend besides cleaning my bathrooms (yeehaw!) and the kitchen and cutting out about 50 ft. of laminating that Office Max did for free! (They are offering it to teachers every Thurs. through Sept!) Pretty cool actually, because it's the high quality kind, not the cheapo I don't even need scissors to cut it kind they have at school.

Anywho.. need to start getting ready. Class is in 45 mins.

Winter glad you had fun last night!

Mandy go for it! I used to sit outside my trailor classroom on nice days before they moved it to the parking lot on the other side of the school. Used to have a nice hill. Kids loved it! Bring some floor pillows!

Tom Good luck!

Maria Have fun in Jersey!

Later peeps.

well, what's the benefit of running it Korbels? I wouldn't do it. Not out of wimpyness, but it just seems pointless. I like to enjoy running. I don't need to prove my toughness by running in a bad storm! It doesn't make you any more of a runner. Now if you just LOVE the rain and it would be enjoyable, then by all means go for it.

Thanks, Jill! Just getting my shoes on now. Well, when I stop typing! Oh wait! You meant the beer class!

Hello!

Trying to wake up from my nap. This is tough! Anyway, I did the body pump class. Pretty cool. Just a few things I can't do (push ups/tricep dips on the edge of the step). Just don't have the upper body strength for those moves. She included about 15 mins of abs at the end. I have a feeling that it will be painful to breathe tomorrow! I got on the TM for 4. Forgot to start the nike+ until after a mile in (@#$!) so I ended up doing 5 with .5 walk added on at the end. Since I'm doing an online nike+ challenge, I had to get the extra miles!! Gave a few extra points for my VRAA team I guess. Tomorrow: 7.5 mi LR outside then to the gym to meet my friend again but for yoga!! (See, Jen? Inspired!) This will be her first time doing yoga. Should be fun.

Congrats Ptom, Maria, Scratch, Crane, Bob and everyone on great races and runs! Woohoo!

Ok.. time to start getting ready for drinkin'! Hehe... And I should point out, this is not an official class put on by Taco Mac. We are creating our own, but they do have some beer tasting club! It's called the Passport Club! This should be fun....

Ok, happy Saturdays!

Big Congrats Moon on a HUGE PR! Wow!! Sub 50?? Impressive dude.

EQ Great job! I don't think I'm disciplined enough to do what you did. That's tough to do alone. Much easier in an actual race!

I'm watching New World- movie about the Jamestown (VA) settlement. Very cool since I have been there and read a whole book all about the archaeological excavations there. Just makes so much sense! And Colin Ferrel- yummy. Which reminds me... Sorry Theia. That sucks. Would you like a brownie? (Seriously.. I got plenty!)

Well I'm up. Gonna go for 7-7.5 on the greenway then meet my friend at the gym for yoga. I am rather sore from yesterday's body pump! That's good, but I hate it when it hurts to laugh. Might start doing that class once/wk and then I can do just 2 other weight days (one leg/one arms) on other days during the week. Will lower the pressure to go 4 x since the body pump class is a combo day.

Anyway... need to get out the door!

It's probably a phishing scam email, Moe. I get those all the time. I've even called ebay (they answered the phone and everything! very helpful!) Call them. DON'T click on the link!! Go to the ebay site yourself and get the contact us link....

Maria- I was just starting to cool off from the run, then you posted that photo! Yummmmmmmmyyyyy! Juan Pablo's not bad himself, tbh! I really need to start watching more soccer! It's the only game I can sit through and watch, even on TV. We've got free Fox Soccer Channel since yesterday for a few weeks. Might take advantage of that!!

Well, did 7 miles. Wish I had done my 7.5, but I didn't know that my friend was not gonna show to yoga, and I was pressed for time after my friend from England called this morning while I was getting ready. She's moving to Spain in a few days, so I couldn't just talk later! Ah well... I did an extra mile yesterday so I guess that makes up for it. I could have gone farther, and I guess that's what counts! And I saw Torque riding his bike! He had the distinctive mustache and everything. It's funny because we looked at each other as we passed like we both were thinking i know you! Funny..... I've actually seen him often on the trail lately.

Just watched a cool story on the Today show! George Michael- who owns the piano John Lennon used to write Imagine- is taking it to all these sites where there were tragedies (ie, VA Tech, NYC on Sept 11...) and putting it on display as a symbol of the song I guess is how it could be described (if you know the song/lyrics, it's pretty inspiring). Pretty cool... Would LOVE to see it. They said it will be in front of the Dakota on Dec. 8th where John got shot. Might have to bribe Maria to take a photo of it for me!!!

Crane how did the TM go?? Hope that vertigo is gone soon! Do you know why you have it?

Jill- do tell me more about your former life! HOW COOL! I love archaelogy, anthropology and sociology in general. Of course, my fave is lingustics. I want to get my PhD in either comparative linguistics or historical linguistics. Historical would be cool since I'd get to work in some of the anthro interest. If you haven't been to Jamestown, you should go! They still have active excavations going on and every year we go and see the progression. Very cool what they have been able to uncover (post holes from the original wood wall from 400 years ago!) What made you change? I know it's not all Indiana Jones, but the research would be fascinating.

Ok, just cooling off with my coffee (i know, that sounds wierd!) and gonna get a shower and try to get the rest of my cleaning done around the apt. Exciting, I know!

Happy Sundays!
