The insanity continues at work, but I'm dealing. Teaching is fun, but it is also pretty hard at times.

Oh! I have a story to share with you all--something I made is going to be in an art show and am freaking out about it.

The deal is that I know people from the art department at work pretty well, and while in Kauai I picked up a bunch of plastic forks and other trash from the beaches that I thought I could make into something with a message. I got some advice from art profs on how to work with it, and melted and bent and painted all the forks into a crazy looking "fork earth" that turned out pretty scary, but very cool looking. There are messages on it in melted plastic as well.

I found out this week that my project is apparently going to be in a show (probably more because I know people, not because of talent) with other true artists who are well known in MSP! I am freaking out about it because my little project is more like a crafty-thing. I thought this was just a show for my little campus, not for the whole community! I'm afraid it will look kinda stupid comparatively, truth be told.

Anyway, it is fun news, kinda terrifying, but we'll see. So, all you artists out there, tell me about openings and criticism and what I'm getting myself into, please!

Okay, I'm going to run now, because that's what we runners do on Sat. morning!
