Good morning. I just got up a few minutes ago and started the wake up juice squeezer. Once I get a cup or two of coffee in me, it'll be out the door to go do my longest run for time and distance yet since starting up again on April 21.

must go get the glorious caffeine...

Might as well post now, before this gets up to 8 jillion pages.

Ortho doc was supposed to call me yesterday with an updated treatment plan, but he never did. Hafta wait until Monday, I guess.

I'm about to leave for Spin, and then have a full day of playdates this morning and dinner with the in-laws later. Should be fun all around.

BigG, sorry about the situation with your ex. Hope this morning's visit goes more smoothly.

Good morning!

Just killing a bit of time til I leave for my group run. 5 miles this a.m., easy enough. This afternoon I'll be driving to my parents' house, where we are having a graduation party for 2 of my nieces and a cousin. Back here tomorrow because I have to pick up my friend at the airport, she's visiting for the week.

Oh yeah, and I'm on VACATION!!! Wahoo!!!!

Scratch- enjoy your run!

BigG- I hope your ex isn't a PITA about Rochester if it comes through.

Diane- love your new screenname, very creative. I didn't read it right at first, just was reading it as the normal "dinosaur". It was someone else's comment that had me take a 2nd look.

Thanks, Sara.

It stinks that the doc didn't call you, Diane.

I'm back. I originally thought I would run for 55 minutes today, but I guess that 1 hour mark proved too tempting so I took a brief jaunt off along some fields and dirt, found a lost horseshoe and extended my running time out to 1 hour and 1.5 minutes. Covered about 4.75 miles. It felt good, felt really really good to go running that long. This was my first week in excess of 10 miles too. Now I just wish that my left ring finger which I used for a fingerstick to check my sugar after the run would stop bleeding already. Grrrr.

Log shows that I went for 40.3 miles in June and ran for 8 hours and 20 minutes.

Good Morning All!

I am awake. Why am I awake? Not sure. But, it looks to be a gorgeous day in the Northland so that's alright then.

Because sometimes it's never to early to talk alcohol: Tim I haven't tried these yet, but they look yummy. You could be my test kitchen for drinks and let me know what worked! (Iffin you wanted. . .)

Island Limeade: Combine 3 cups boiling water with 1/3 to 1/2 cup sugar to taste. Stir until the sugar dissolves, chill. Add 1 1/4 cups fresh-squeezed lime juice to make limeade. Fill 4 tall glasses with ice and 1 1/2 ounces of dark rum each. Top with limeade.

Watermelon Gin Fizz Freeze 1 cup diced watermelon for garnish. Puree 4 cups diced watermelon. Strain; divide the juice among 4 ice-filled glasses. Top each with 1 1/2 ounces of gin, 2 Tbsp lime juice and 1/3 cup ginger ale. Garnish with frozen watermelon and lime wedges.

Blueberry Ginger Bellini Mash 1/2 cup blueberries, 1 T minced ginger, 1 T sugar and the juice of 1/2 lemon. Add 2 cups blueberry juice and let steep for at least 5 minutes. Strain; divide among 4 champagne flutes. Top each with 1/2 cup sparkling wine.

Today I think I will try this thing called Morning Running of which I have heard some of you speak.

Jenn I'm sorry your ex was dumb last night.

You know you're tired when 'wake-up juice squeezer' requires multiple readings and sounding out of all the words.

Bard - Vacation? Woohoo to you indeed!

Mandaroo - boo hiss to your advisor; good on you taking a break - you deserve it and will make it through this immense project of getting your degree (with shining colors and all that!).

I managed 4.5 last night - it wasn't east, but it was about as east as my runs get. It felt great - speedy and strong.

Timr1 - I know when you're in Baltimore area you're right down the road from where I am - do you usually stay at the hotels in columbia or closer to the airport? I'm lazy and book late, so I'm usually in and around Linthicum Heights (and I'm a Hilton girl).

So I'm off to work here in a little while (can I please whine about conversions and bad management and weekend working and stupid PMs and people who won't take responsibility for their obligations and then make a stink if you don't have time in the middle of a go-live to teach them how to do their job? Thank you.)

Have a good day, all!

Good morning, folks. A bunch of people up bright and early on a Saturday, eh?

Voodoo, sorry to hear about your phone and tooth from last night. I hope you don't discover too many calls to Egypt and Mongolia on your next bill...

Scratch, good luck on your long run.

Bard, enjoy the vacation.

Well, I will soon head out for my morning run. Probably not too far. 5-7 miles, tops. But it'll do. Got a wedding to go to tonight. I'd like to drink a lot, but I think I'll be the one driving. Of course Maggie isn't drinking, but we gotta drive to Brooklyn, and she refuses to drive in NYC, so it looks like we'll both be staying sober.... Oh well...

Good Saturday morning all!

Somewhat a busy day I suppose. We have a picnic from 10 am until 2 pm as part of today's activities with the 20th class reunion. I am a bit torn about tonight though. A friend is getting married at 6:30 pm tonight but our class reunion is having dinner at 7pm. I was not intending to go to the class reunion dinner but I had so much fun last night I had much rather go to that then sit through a wedding. Maybe it will be a quick wedding (say 40 minutes) and I can drop off the gift and then bolt to dinner and be fashionably late and arrive about 7:20 or 7:30ish.

Oh and between the picnic and wedding I have to hit the park and get 5k worth of in this afternoon. THEN download the season finale of Doctor Who from over the pond.

PHEW what a day. I am normally bored to tiny pieces and sometimes never leave the house on a Saturday.

Well I am going to hit the shower and make myself presentable. I have already scrubbed/cleaned my bathroom this morning. What's gotten into me?

Alright, Beth so there were some positives but the major negative. . .is he just a recreational smoker so there's hope?

That almost brings a tear to my eye.

Shouldn't be any calls anywhere on the phone. My buddies have it, so it should be in good hands. Nights and weekends are free anyway.

Been trying to reach the dentist to see what to do about the toof. But they don't seem to be open yet or maybe not today. I'm almost afraid to eat, but I need to. All I had for dinner last night after running 16 was beer, jello shots and the couple pretzels that I chipped my tooth on.

Would like to get out for about 5 today. Have to meet with someone around lunch, though. Need to cut the grass, too. Need to bundle those limbs up in my backyard as well.

Morning Scratch!

Just trying to catch back up to all the stuff that was going on while I was away "birthday-ing". Wow. I signed up for this the other day when Duck mentioned it, but this is the first time I've had to get on here and actually try out the goods. I'm thinking I like it, at first glance. The toolbar is really similar to Yahoo! email, so that's good. Gotta figure out how to quote people and such, but that should be fine. And I need to figure out how to do a signature, picture, etc...but that's what you computer peeps are for! heehee.

Thank you so much to everyone for all the great birthday wishes on Thursday!!! I had a good day, mom took me shopping for some clothes, my parents and I had a great dinner at an AMAZING Italian restaurant (I had angel hair pasta with shrimp, mussels, and crab in some sort of light wine/garlic thing with tomatoes, and other assorted yumminess...wow. That would be really tasty right now...) and my brother had a birthday cake with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries waiting for me in my room when I checked in. All in all, a good day. 40 ain't so bad, as long as I can still stay here with you all...

Ok, back in a bit. Parents are stopping by on their way out of town...

Later taters!

Maples, sounds like you're doing some work on altering the laws of time and space this evening. Good luck with that.

This just in fort hose of you needing input on alcoholical beverages: Our Spin instructor used a song this morning called Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off. Just sayin'.

Oh, by the way...

Thank you all for either 1. Keeping your CR screen name, or 2. Making your new KR screen name pretty similar.

I was worried about knowing who everyone was if you all decided to go incognito...

I think I like this place. But I don't want to lose my CR running log?

Oh, this is wierd. So much stuff to look at. Makes my eyes go buggy. And some of you switched names.

Why does my post have a title? How do I re-do my profile thingie?

Nice run this morning, except for the part where I almost got nailed by a golf ball running past the driving range. Some guy has a serious hook or slice or whatever that's called when it shoots right. Heard it ripping through the leaves and ducked just in time. And then I stepped on an uneven spot and tweaked my stupid ankle. grrr.

What happened to Voo? I haven't read through the last couple days. 18 pages and the wierdness makes my eyes go buggy.
