Happy Wednesday People!

Want to send out my Congratulations to Theia and her Andrew. You are BOTH very impressive athletes.

Good on ya' Moonie, for signing up., drunk or no.

Maria - other than the free alcohol, how was the show?

Got in late last night after puppy class, and we're both tired this morning. I'm shooting for my normal mid day work out and if I get enough done may play hooky from work tomorrow - I got a spur of the moment offer to head to the coast for the day, and it's turning out to be an offer I'm hard pressed to refuse.

Good days and runs to all of you!
Out the door to run this a.m. (again with the morning running due to heat--how DO you people do this?)

Just wanted to give a big YEA!! to our TheiaGoddess and Goddess' DH for great showings. You've done us proud. To even finish an IM is something I cannot fathom, much less doing it for time!

Hope everything puppy is good, too, Jen and your schedule gets back to normal, Kini.

Gahoona! Congrats on the house! I know you'll get something great in Rochester and welcome to Minnesota. When things calm we need to get Mary down here and you up for and rendezvous, methinks.

I'm in for the Capitol Mile and 8k in Madison this weekend. The race starts at 3 in the afternoon. I think the weather will be OK, but it's still odd to me that race officials would plan a mid-afternoon race in July??

Later, runners!

Howdy, all. Yeah, great jobs by Theia and Andrew. These two seem to be the First Couple of athletics, eh?

Congrats to BigG on the house sale. Maggie and I are thinking of putting our apartment on the market and moving into a house. (Might be necessary once we've got a little one running around). I hope it can go half as smoothly...

Good work, TriMoon! Seriously, all you tri-folk are gonna make me want to do one. And attempting one will probably kill me...

Tonight is my "5k and pizza extravaganza". I will probably end this day 5 lbs heavier than I started it...

Also, today is Maggie's birthday. Although she's never around here, please wish her a Happy Birthday anyway, and I'll pass on the good vibes to her.

Good morning everyone. Up again before dawn because I can't sleep. Ugh. Waiting for it to get light so I can do my first speed workout of Philly training.

Gotta love those spur of the moment days off Jen. Hopefully it'll work out for you.

A 3pm start in July, Craney?!? Yipe.

Sorry you schedule is screwed up Kini. Best thoughts out to you and your mom, too.

Hi Larry, Matt, and Bob! And Happy B-day to Maggie.

I wonder if it's possible to work a nap into a fartlek session....

Hiya 30s!

The photo shoot was cancelled last night...the photog had a family emergency. Well. I was a little mad, because I worked my a$$ off getting ready for it, but it couldn't be helped. So I took Penny for a run instead. A remarkably east run. Although for some reason I thought the route I went was 2 miles and it was just 1.4. I lost track of time and hadn't started my chrono....no matter. I only had 1 on the sched anyway. It was by far the best run I've had in months. Slow, steady, no walking. I was happy.

Unfortunately, I woke up last night at 2am or so with massive anxiety about work. And a cat sitting on my head.

B Week continues with a repeat of the black and white dress. I did do a little cami-flage this morning, so as not to shock my coworkers.

Congrats Theia and Big G!!!!! Not for the same reason, of course, but still, big deals!

I might run tonight. I have a tech meeting this evening, and I'm carless, so I was thinking I'd stick my play working binder in a little back pack and run over. And take the bus home. That'll get me in another 1.5...I'm trying really hard to drum up some sorely lacking motivation.

I just started HP7 this morning on the bus...I wish I had read 6 again before I started this one because I'm a little lost, but I'll catch up. It's tough to commute with though! Big big book...doesn't fit in my bag!

About next spring...I don't think i'll be making it out west then, since I'm hoping 1) to get a part in the spring production--Singin' in the Rain, and 2) I'll likely be heading to Seattle in June for my annual conference. I'll repost on the other thread, but I'm just letting you know...

OK, so much work to do and so little motivation. Bah. I hate my job.

Yes, Yes, I forgot, Congrats to you Big G on the home sellilng. That is a wonderful thing. I have a co-worker who has been trying to sell her home Minnesota for a year. They started to build a house here, and lost it because it's was contingent upon that house selling within 6 months, so they are living in dinkly little apartment and w a i t i n g for the Minnesota house to sell. Gah.

Kini - I did nights for a looong time, you never really feel like your "normal" do you? Heh. Thankfully, 'round here, normal is not a valued trait.

Moe - I had to re-read that post several times, I kept reading 'carless' as carEless and couldn't figure out what you were carEless about - being sweaty at your meeting? Apparently, reading comprehension isn't my thing this morning.

Craney, Morning run over? Good., That means you're done for the day. That's what I always like about morning runs. The puppy is as good as he know how to be, which y'know is puppy.

Keriksen. My magic 8-ball says all signs point to yes! Things are looking good for my unscheduled sick day. I am looking forward to it.

Hi LL, Hi Bob.

I'm feeling all chatty today, Nettie, watch your back

Did you say magic 8-ball?

Maureen - Anxiety attacks about work suck.

Mrs. Bob - Hope Bob knows what you want today.

Craney - Good am run. Morning is the best for me too.

Running - Hash meeting last night. Who guessed that such a group of people would turn out to be run such a bad meeting? Oh yeah. Every possible bad meeting behavior was in effect. Over talking? Hogging? Making the same point 100000 times? Complaining about people who weren't there? Interrupting to make jokes or ask for more beer?

Despite this, the whole thing was a big improvement over the rest of my day which was intense frustration and shoulder pain.

Racing - Big race tonight....one of the best afterparties in town. Will most likely go for the party. I am such a dedicated athlete!

Good runs all....

I missed most of the thread yesterday... I've been busy getting ready for a big demo at work, and in addition to that, trying to get everything in order for my vacation.

I dropped the pupster off for his vacation today. I feel sort of bad leaving him, but he absolutely loves it where we board him, and I watched him playing with the other dogs as I left, so I'm sure he'll have fun. At least he won't be cooped up for 9 days. He'll get 9 days of good excercise, with crate time in the evenings.

Well back to work for me...

Thinking I may go join a new gym this morning. Want to check out their class schedules. Thanks for the input the other day, btw. I think I am going with close to home as my commute is 'bout an hour and with the teacher schedule, no opportunity to work out at lunch. The classes at the gym near work start at like 5, which not only leaves me waiting, it makes my day about 13 hours and I'm about ready to be done with that mess for a while. Plus, pup would be wetting his pants by then.

Hoping for a couple with the pup this evening. Unless Jen says I need to do something else....

Got to go shower and then off to tutor friend Jeremiah's boy for reading so he'll be ready for kindergarten and kick its butt. Don't want those up tight catholic school teachers talking smack about why the tattoo artist's kid can't read.....

Did I mention I'm looking to take a tap class? I was just online looking for options and found two. Close to home and work, reasonable prices, and respected teachers. Only problem is they both list their entree class as "advanced beginner". Well, I took a couple of semesters of tap in college, but that was 20 years ago and I wasn't good then...so where do I fit into the spectrum of students?

Good morning!

I'm exhausted. And I have a headache, though hoping that goes away soon. Busy week, but not a bad one overall. So far the students/parents have been great during Orientation. However, there was a major screwup with the Registrar's system, which caused some high-demand courses to be seriously overbooked. My group of advisors were aware of the problem and found a way to avoid overbooking courses, but not everyone was as careful. So, that will be a big honkin' mess to clean up.

Two things have made me sad in the last 24 hours. Last night, when I was volunteering at the children's hospital, I was asked to help with the Admitting Gift cart instead of my usual activity groups. When kids are admitted, they get to pick a toy or other gift to help perk up their spirits. One of the children on the list turned out to be an 11 y/o girl on the cancer unit, admitted as an end-of-life/hospice patient. I didn't see her, the nurse chose a pinwheel for her since it would be pretty to look at.

Other sad thing was something I heard on the morning traffic report on the radio. The road I live on was closed about 1/2 mile down from me because of a fatal hit-and-run involving a bicyclist. I know it can be hard to see bicyclists sometimes even when you are paying attention, and at 5 a.m., I can see how an accident can occur. But to leave the scene of the accident? There is no excuse.

arms while running- I don't hold my arms completely still, but I don't flail everywhere either. I do have that pinky thing going, though. Only on my right hand.

Congrats Theia and Mr. Theia! Triathlons sound so cool, but since I can't really swim, they are out of the question for now.

Happy Birthday to Maggie and a belated Happy Birthday to Mary McTortle!

Moe- I'm really keeping my fingers crossed for you that you find a new job soon. I've been stuck in sucky jobs before, praying for the right opportunity to present itself. Eventually it did, but the stress of waiting was hard to bear.

BigG- congrats on selling the house so quickly! If you decide to place an offer on the house in Rochester, I hope that process goes as smoothly.

OK, I'm sure there was more I wanted to say, but I need to get to work. I may or may not be around a bit this a.m. but not at all this afternoon.
