My peeps!

Back from Michigan. Unfortunately there wasn't much time left over for 30s meet and greets because of my massive family and the gratuitous driving that needed to be done.

The game was pretty good. I don't think we'll be invited back.

Work is really busy, so I've missed lots of posts. Hopefully I'll get some time to dig into the RR forum and catch up on the weekend racers.

Rich has been working really hard to bomb-proof the place in his spare moments. Tough job trying to do that stuff at the end of a long day at work, so once again, THANK YOU FOR YOUR EFFORTS!!!!

KP/Tonya - Thanks for trying!

Kath - Next time for sure!

Back later for more. . .
What a beautiful morning! The weather took a turn for the better post-rain yesterday and I feel like shouting from the rooftops! Unfortnately it wasn't quite like this last eve when I ran to the track. Got in 9.6 miles total with 3 x 1200 intervals @5:14, 5:11, 5:07 I should have doubled that number in intervals but my calves were screaming and my stomach felt like it was about to empty up through my mouth. I blame the potato chips I ate w/lunch yesterday. Bad Maria!!! Tonight will be at least 8 miles and also some yoga. Gotta be gentle with my calves and right hammy.

Hang in there Kini …we've made it to hump day

Jill - I didn't get a chance to tell you how much I loved the pictures of you & Zeke from your race over the weekend. Such a cool event!!

Yeah! Brandy has her running mojo back.

Thanks Rich for bringing KR back to life -- we REALLY appreciate all of your hard work!!!!

Morning my Pretties,

Oh My doG! It is such a beautiful morning! Perfect for running! Absolutely perfect! Am I going to be running outside today? No. I am not. {{DS#2}} is home with an upset stomach and headache. It's going around. Then tonight I have an Open House at the elementary school and then it will be dark so I am going to see a movie with a friend. Dark is good for movies...
I may try to ride the big T, but it wasn't as exciting as it sounded the last time, so I'm not as inclined to do it again so soon.

Here we go:

Sunyurbuns: I don't know if everyone saw your post the other day. Welcome to the Jungle! and yes, most of us post our runs or lack thereof. Some of us are on the mend and post here despite the lack of running but that's cool because you need support then the most.

{{Kini}} Love ya!

Scratch may I send you an email?

LL A: Who is your avatar?
2: I hope Rosh Hashanah is good to you.
D: Happy Birthday to LLdeardaughternumberoneberg! 7 is sooo cool!

MissDaisy: Sorry I meant to say it the other day as well. Your new avatar Rocks!

ah good to be back here in the KR world. Way to go Rich!

Hang in there Kini and vent away, pretty much everyone her uses the board that way now and again and we are all darn good listeners/readers!

Roo the light at the end of tunnel is getting closer!

Duck as thinking of you during the game, like beaker said...good stuff

Welcome back in the loop Sara

gettign ready to paint sucks Bob, I cringe at the thought.

Brandy I hear ya on the good run, had one last night as well-has to be about the weather turning for us here in MN.

Yesterday I put in 2.5 quick miles at lunch and then decided at about 6:45 last night it was too nice out to not do a double. decide to make the evening run a set of hill repeats.

I put in 6.2 miles with 11 hill repeats. ran it at an 8:20 pace for a 51:43 time and had some left. a top 5 workout ever for me...man it felt awesome
Morning. Nice to see the site back up. So went out for the hardest training session for this marathon last night. 12 miles with 6x1200m 5k intervals. I was feeling a bit sluggish from the hard run on Sunday and was just going to skip the intervals, but I figured if Maria was doing this same workout, I'd better get it done.

It was very windy and instead of doing the work on a track, I was going around the lakes. I did manage to do all six intervals in about 4:27-:35. Which isn't too bad. They really make me want to race a 5k soon.

The weather is just perfect for running here in Minnesota. It's completely rejuvenated my legs. It's hard to believe I'm in the 15th week of marathon training. A 15 miler tonight and 20+ miler this weekend is about all the hard runs I have left.

Maria - You did the right thing by cutting the run short. Better to live and fight another day, then hurt yourself. You've done a lot of work training for the race and these last speed sessions are so hard to do, especially on such tired legs.

Hiya, Roo, Saucon and Korbel. Small town field work is the suck (I don't mind small town if it has some charm - the place I was definitely did not). No wifi, internet cafe, neat little downtown, nothing. Ah well, back to the grind now.

McTortle --- great job on the Tri!!!!! You're an inspiration.

LL --- we tired to go to a Melting Pot in MI - turned us away at 4pm b/c we did not have a reservation. Curious to see what it's like. Have a fun time w/ the b-day girl!!!!

I know I'm missing many things.

Last week had my lowest running week yet - 1 mile!!! Yup, that's it. 13 hours of site work each day did not leave much time for running. Back at it this week!
It's me. Well a virtual me I made.

And thanks!
He's scary and you are not. Maybe if he was smilling or somethin'. No offence. sorry. i'll shut up now.
Ha! I was totally thinking that I should suck it up b/c I knew you were running the same intervals but my legs had a different opinion. I am, too, encouraged by the run and aching to do a 5K now.

Public Service Annoucement - new season of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia starts at 10:00 p.m. EDT this Thursday on FX! If you haven't seen it yet, tune it - you'll pee your pants with their irreverence.
Maria along with that PSA, I know Korbel at least will want to know (if he doesn't already) Monday, Sept 24, Heroes returns.
It's fun.

Make your own!

http://www.mvm.com/en/my_model.htm
LL with that avatar it should be LLhardass
(((Kini))) I'm having one of those months too. Sometimes it feels like the universe is just sh!tting on you, but remember that it always does get better.

Just popping in to say a big THANK YOU to Space for cropping that pic. I cannot thank you enough!
I hope I'm doing this right. Thank you, Winter. I was off running for a while last year so I know how it feels to be unable to run. Kudos to those that are trying to get back to it! I feel like I need the comraderie of running friends. Most people in my life don't get it.

I ran 10 miles outside this morning. Damn it was cold! Ok, maybe it isn't that cold yet, but I'm a wuss and I know it. Fall is coming very quickly. My right hip flexor feels like it needs a massage.
Yeah, he is. You should have seen him lay waste to the competition at the 1 mile fun run on Saturday. The intensity was something to behold.
