I was up early to get 10 miles in. DW is off to NYC for the night so it had to be done.

I hate getting up so early but boy do I feel good getting my run in first.

Figured I'd get the thread going.

thanks for getting the thread started, Larry!!

no way was i going to do it....

Loving all the pictures, folks!

Waiting for it to get light out to go for a couple with the pup. I've cut my miles way back hoping to get this PF thing under control. What is bad is that I notice for sure, the more I run...the worse it is. My last schedule where I ran 3 days in a row...killed it. So I've backed way up, hoping that light running on top of the exercises my doc gave me and the better kicks will help.

Solar you're sweet! thanks for asking. i just got back my chapter 4 sunday. i had to send a note to get the damn thing... lots of revisions...some i get, others i don't. My plan is to go through, work out what i can and then see if i can take my sane committee member to coffee and work out the last few. Then hopefully clean up chapter 5 and bounce sometime around January. He and I don't talk in person. Only phone and email. Its bad.

Forgot to say HI RON!!!

20h...good vibes to your family, man.

I think if this land comes available, we're going to try and get a hold of it. Again...ain't that just some shit. I'll become a trail runner though as I'll have my own woods. And my dad builds a hell of a house. My mom's shop is the only green building in our town. In floor heat, etc. He's awesome. They have 40 dollar heat bills in a 4000 square foot building in Feb.

Moe why the hell were you crying at work? you should be too busy clearing out your desk for the new job you're going to get!!! ((((((hugs)))))

Timr1
how's your bathroom?
I put up a chair rail in my bedroom. I was brushing my shoulders off for a week.
heh.

Ok. I know there is way more. But I'm tired. Gotta get my hair did this afternoon. I need to not forget that....
peace, love and chicken grease, folks.....

Well good morning LL, Map, Roo and Scratch I was catching up on yesterdays thread and putting it to bed while you were all chatting away.

I should have been in bed awhile ago, but I ran a great 3.25 miles with a 1.25 mile walk after work so I am still awake.

I am going to head to bed. I hope you all have a great Wednesday.

LL Earlybird look on the brightside - you're run's done for the day. I felt the same way when I was done with my 20 miler by 7:45AM on Saturday. It felt weird and I was tired running in the darkness of dawn, but I did enjoy the sunrise, and the cool - less humid temps. However I was ready for a nap by the time we got to the birthday party at "The Little Gym" and I had to chase DS around

myron - I love the Little Gym!

Ramsey - Huge congrats to you and DW. That is simply amazing. I also think that in addition to a finisher's medal they should have an award the size of those giant checks (maybe presented by a stripper) for the SO of any Ironman! Congrats again!

2oh - thinking of you guys!

Another easy 5 last night. Felt good. My leg is no longer really sore, but does still feel a little weak.

Later all!

Hi everyone!

Mandy - go live on lots of land! Sounds perfect...

It always intimidates me when one of you parents mentions double-digit runs and then lists off all the child-related activities you have to go through with...power to you!

I have a picture from this weekend - it's one of those events where my size varies greatly depending on who took the picture. The one my mother had taken for the Christmas card - arms three times the size of pipecleaners...but not in a good way!

Anyhow, here's one of my cousin Darron and I arriving at the reception...

I am loving all the close-ups of people here - it's really nice to have face for so many of you!

All right, I'm off to work - I hope to get in 5 tonight. We'll see, I've been slacking since last week...

Have a great day, all!

Hi Ron

RFTL - Yup, we read 'em all. Too much taking the 5th, methinks

Loving everyone else's new avatars, so I did the sheep thing and followed suit.

Larry - how did you survive the soccer\child juggling yesterday. And a HUGE congrats on volunteering to be a fireman.

I was actually hit by a car in a similar way when I was a Jr in HS - getting off of a school bus. Car pulled into the cross walk as I was coming from in front of the bus, saw it at the last minute, and jumped. I landed on the hood of the car, and I did more damage to the car than it did to me.

Running bras - there is a review of different one's in one of the recent Running Times. The one with the Olyompic Trials (Brian Sell is on the cover).

Noni is now on everyone's crush list.

Tim - Survived is a good a word for it. Another parent helped me a bit on the field and I asked a second one to watch the baby while she sat on a blanket with DD2. They did pretty well considering. It's the 9 seven year olds that are tough to deal with.

Off to take DD1 to the bus stop.

Ok!! I guess I'll put a pic up of myself for a little bit--I've been a little cautious about this recently because someone at work found me online so I don't want to be too public.

LOVE seeing everyone else's mug, though. I didn't read yesterday's thread, but I will later.

On the docket for 6 today and the rain continues, but as long as it's not down pouring, those are my fave conditions. Light drizzle, 50 degrees...I'm there!

Do we have a QOD? This is comes from me finding out that Roo is an accomplished painter. I'm sure it's been posted before, but as we have new peeps, I'm curious:

Name some talent you have that others may not know about, or would not guess about you? Mine is that I'm a pretty good welder. I interpreted a welding class once and had to learn it have it make sense in sign..turns out, I was better than a lot of the students.

Hugs to all!!
Good morning!

Packed my bag this a.m. with my running gear. I'm normally a wash-it-after-every-use kinda gal, but forgot to do that after Monday's run. Good thing I don't have a running partner.

It's kinda gloomy here today. Enough to almost make me glad I have a basement office where I can't see outside. It's not cold at least, it's warm and cloudy and drizzly.

Hey, LL!! I think there is an article in this week's issue of TIME that talked about the changing roles of dads and how much more interactive they are with kids and how good this is. They also discussed how many more dads are staying at home with kids (pros and cons) and I thought of you!

The cover story is about breast cancer if you want to look for it...
