...running today but I figured I'd start the thread anyway.

My race report is up.

I'm not running today either, ran yesterday 3.3 miles pretty easy with some pick up in the last three-fourths of a mile. Legs feel good this morning. So I'm happy, didn't know how long it would take my legs to recover after the hardest 13.1 miles they've ever done.

morning!

I will be going for a nice long walk today. Been treating my legs well the past two days -- and now I'm getting antsy.

Won't be on the computer much today -- I have an in-service at work . Happy Thanksgiving to those I miss later!

Mornin' gang! I should probably run today since I haven't done anything since I got back. My stuff isn't even totally unpacked yet. Legs are still kinda sore. I'm surprised about that since they weren't sore at all after the half I did before Philly. I guess I really pushed it.

Morning, all--

Legs felt terrible this morning for my 3 mile run. I don't know what sleazy means, but the run was definitely not east. I didn't think I ran that hard this weekend (still thinking about writing the RR; maybe this weekend), but my legs were like lead today. I just started jcumming's 10k beginner training program because it bumps up to 4 dpw but at low mileage. I could have done 2 today but I didn't because a) if I stopped at 2, I would have had to walk a mile home; ii) I want to run briefly tommorow before I head to my sister's for Turkey Day and I have to pick up challah rolls at the bakery before they close; and d) I'm a glutton for punishment. Anyhow, the time is in and I'm glad I got my carcass out of bed.

Good running to everyone!

Prae- PacerChris coined sleazy for "slow and easy".

My legs feel good today, my running clothes are finally clean (did laundry last night). I should try to get a run in today as it is going to get cold by tomorrow. I don't know that it will happen though.

4.5 sleazy. Solar - an inservice before a holiday? That stinks.

If your slow run ends up being crappy instead of easy, would that make it slappy?

Thanks, everyone. My run was much more slappy than sleazy, then. I think I need to keep my feet up today b/c they're swollen. I can't wait until I'm 60!

morning

I got in my 12 miles last night with 7 m at HM pace. First part sucked. Ran with the dog 1.3 and then dropped her off. I ran for about a mile before realizing I forgot to restart my watch. DANG IT. So I did 3 warm up and then started. First 3.5 miles sucked. All over 9:10! Ouch....when I am supposed to be doing sub 840s. Then I saw DH and he drug me the rest of the run. 8:34, 8:48, 8:44, and then he pushed me the last 1, 8:10. eeek!

So hard.

6 sleazy miles tonight

No run for me today. Rest day after yesterday's track intervals (still pumped about all of the mile repeats being under 7:00 mm). Tomorrow morning i'm racing my brother (and a bunch of strangers) in an 8K.

Happy Thanksgiving all! (travel safe if you're on the road or in the air)

Hi Folks. Dang I beginning to wonder if I was the only person actually running today. Well I got up and did 10M tempo run. Passed the other neighborhood runner guy again (why do I get such pleasure from that?) and talked briefly w/ him. Turns out I beat him in the HM 2 weeks back by nearly 10 min, and this is the guy I struggle to catch, humfp.

I've been doing a lil' bit of crunches and situps this week to strengthen my core, and it appears to be helping w/ my ab soreness while running. Hopefully I'll stick w/ it and these ab issues will disappear.
