...at my old job. Feeling both and

I've been up since 5:15. I'm ready to leave my job but not the people. I haven't even been able to pack up my office yet. I was at work for 12 hours yesterday...mostly doing work. They are so screwed.

I didn't even get a chance to read the threads, any of them here for the last 5 days. If there is anything important, can someone let me know?

I posted my race report. I also have pix to post....but those will have to wait.

I'll try to pop in later. I've read most of the race reports and I just want you all to know that you are the best. Really.

Moe good luck with your last day - and best of luck at your new job!

I keep my desk with limited personal carp so I can packup and go on a moments notice... although I've been there for almost 4 years... My goal is to stick it out for one more even though I want to leave.

Have a good day everyone!

Good Morning
Regarding last evening's dessert discussion....
cheescake=yum yum
pies=not so much
coconut in anything=hey the trash needs to eat too

Trying to decide if we are heading downstate or not. They are expecting a lovely snow storm, ice first than exceeding 8 inches of snow. Now some of you are reading this and thinking, well there isn't a decision, the answer should be no. Well we drive in crap like that all the time so it is more of how long we will be on the road etc etc. Going to call Mom & Dad right now to check on the forecast. May be thrown into full blown panic if we stay home as I don't have a turkey.......

Mornin' all! I'm still not totally unpacked from the weekend. I best get on that since the house looks like one big clutterbug.

Dad will be here later on for a visit. I'm gonna talk to him again about this whole black out thing and I hope I can get him to call his doctor. It really makes me nervous to think about what might be going on.

Good luck with your last day Maureen!

Good morning!

I am going to be spending the day prepping for tomorrow. I am making homemade cranberry sauce and mashed sweet potatoes. I am also in the process of making several batches of fudge for our annual cookie party which is on Saturday.

I am having lunch today with my former secretary/office assistant from the job I left nearly 5 years ago. We keep in touch via email but she hasn't seen me in at least 3 years. I think she might have a hard time recognizing me.

Since most of us will be busy tomorrow, how about this for a QOD:

What are you thankful for this year?

Hey, everyone!

For those who missed it this weekend,I GOT A JOB! Starting in the fall, I will be an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Missouri-Columbia. This is a Research I institution, and the flagship of the UM system. I am very proud of myself for this accomplishment, and very excited to be employed when I graduate. Thanks to all of you for your support as I struggle through the end of my dissertation. Unfortunately, the PA 30s will lose a member, but I think we'll be adding a state to our representation.

Good days, everyone!

Way to go prae and maureen - good luck with the new gigs whether they are starting next week or next fall.

QOD - If Kris does not mind, I have a twist on this that I would like to add. Not just what are you thankful for, but what about the 30's are you thankful for.

Reg QOD - My family, my health, the fact that in the big scheme of things, I lead a blessed life without worry for food, shelter, or any basic human need. I am a lucky man.

30's QOD - After this weekend, there is lots to add. A short and very incomplete list would be katholeenie's smile, Nettie's laugh, phillytom's speed, Pacer's wise-assedness, CoachT's advice, winter's sense of humor...

I could go on and on....

Qod 1 I am thankful I don't worry about putting food on the table, the mortgage being paid etc etc. I am thankful for my family. I am thankful my boys are healthy and that I hear them laugh everyday. I am thankful my dad beat the dr's prediction and is still with us for the holidays.

Qod 2 The 30s have helped me push through the times when I really didn't want to finish the run. Theia has given me great workout ideas, that while I always whine how sore I am the next day they work!! I have learned a lot about running since I joined the group.

QOD1: I am thankful for the fact that I love my job even when it's busy/stressful, I have a good family that make family gatherings a fun experience, my own health and the good health of my family, I have great friends who love me, and I learn more about myself every day and use that knowledge to improve my life and my relationships.

QOD2: I am thankful for all the support that everyone shows around here. I found this group when I was still early on in C25K and now have just finished my 4th HM. The encouragement and support I have found here have been an incredibly positive force in my life. I am continually inspired by everyone, from the slowest to the fastest and even those who are no longer running and still come here anyway.

Hey folks!!! This is my last day at work for a while!! Holiday weekend and then vaca!!!!

Auntie Moe all I can say is wrap it up and take it outside!!! (insert hand gesture here)

Prae That is so freaking impressive!!!!!!! Seriously fabulous news!!

Tonight DH and I got for the ultrasound and I will hopefully find out if we are having a boy or a girl!! I am excited, nervous, and scared all at the same time!!

QOD: Wow, deep. Well I am thankful for my family. We have had our ups and downs but I love them all so much. I know I always have somewhere to turn if I need them, good or bad, and just knowing that is wonderful! I have amazing friends who really are like my family. I have a job that gives me a sense of accomplishment while affording me the opportunity to make a nice living. I have a husband that in my wildest dreams I could never have imagined. He is beyond description and I feel blessed every day I get to wake up with him. And if all goes well today, I can tell you I am thankful for a healthy baby that will soon join my family.

30's answer: I really could just cut and paste what I wrote above. This board is very special to me. I have friends I have never met yet that I know would be huge in my life if we lived closer (like T and KP), there is Mary who always manages to throw something in to make the masses smile, there are some newbies like Maples that remind you how hard starting is and how huge each accomplishment is. Then there are the people I have met. Just read reports of last weekend to know about the group at large. But then there are my girls, the people who have been my support system, who have become part of my family, and I couldn't possibly explain to them or anyone else what they mean to me. There is one person in particular, the lovely Auntie Moe, that I can honestly say has changed my life. She is a beautiful person inside and out and will never fully understand her impact, on me and many others!!

Ok that got long and deep! Sorry!! Hope you all have a fabulous Holiday!!

Solar always room at teh fun house for you tomorrow if you want to join us!

QOD1: my family, health and job, so many things!

QOD2: I am so happy I found all of you. Thank you for your friendships. On this holiday I wanted to mention two new friends especially: Mary and Tiff. These two ladies have become such good friends and literally brighten my day every time I speak/chat with them. Their kind words and friendships make me feel so good about myself. I can't really do justice by just saying "thank you" to them or by typing a few words here. My life is better for meeting them. Thanks ladies.
