Good morning, Jen. And everyone else, of course...

Nice 5k time, Myron. Especially with Jay looming. That's not for the faint of heart, eh?

I'm not sure if I'll do anything today or not. With a 5k tomorrow, I'm sure I won't run today. But maybe I'll bike. Who knows. We'll see what I feel like after work.

Well, have a great day, everyone...

Good morning.

Just a short 2.75 mile jaunt today, and the same planned for Thursday, as I work towards Saturday and the long run that'll get me to 10K distance. Rolled over the 24 hour mark of running for the year on this run.

I had my first running dream in a while last night, but can't remember any of it now. Oh now I remember, I was chasing some guy who was on a bicycle up a hill.

Morning Jen, Scratch and Nettie!

Semi-decent sleep last night. No running, but thinking of stationary bike. Also, the running clubs have meetings tonight. Striders and the Hash Mismanagement. Yeah. Somehow I got roped into helping "run" the Hash.

Going for a walk on the Bruce Trail this coming weekend......

http://www.brucetrail.org

McTortle Don't be subtle with us guys. Remember, you're dealing with guys. The reason that men continually make the mistake of being gross with women is that they assume women like it the way that we do.......

Cowboy up, my friend Bob! No intentional oversight meant. To be honest, I was a bit preoccupied by Nettie's comment yesterday that she didn't like the way the PRT was going. What could that possibly mean? I mean, where does the PRT have to go?

Mornin' everyone, including choppeD liveR boB and all the sleepy heads yet to post. A good night sleep continues to elude me, so I'm here waiting for it to get light enough to go out for the first leg of another triple ocho. Tomorrow is my first speedwork of Philly training.

I had a dream last night that I skipped tomorrow's run and had to explain why to you folks. Maybe that's why I'm up so early.

Doc is there drinking and singing while "running" a Hash like there is while running a Hash?

Ugh.

Hey folks!! Absolutely beautiful day here! Stinks that I can't play hookey!

Had my first PT session last night. Wow, it was tough!!! The goal is to strengthen my shoulder (apparently I have to much "give" in my shoulder which resulted in the bursitis). After PT I hit the gym for 45mins on the bike.

Waiting on word from Theia and her tri!!!!!!

KJ you can PM me and I will send you my work email addy, I can't get into Yahoo from work anymore!!! So excited for you!!!!

Morning - I'll have to go through yesterday's thread and catch up - not only to see how Myron did in his 5k, but I hear there's some pics of Maria? I gots to see me some of that goodness!

Got in 10k this morning - I've now completed all the routes at work for my quarterly challenge - with more than 2 months remaining! It's just KILLING the guy that's injured that he is this far behind!

Big news - I entered Ironman USA!! Well - not for me to do the race. The lunch group I run with is chipping in and, with his wife's OK, we're going to surprise our buddy with entry into IM USA as his retirement gift. I was so nervous trying to get him in - those things fill up quickly! But he's in and now we just have to figure out a fun way to tell him. It may be the coolest gift that I'm the most excited about giving someone ever...which is kinda sad because I really should have that feeling about something I gave my wife. Maybe the diamond tennis bracelet I gave her years ago? Nah - that was just painful - this was FUN to enter!

Good morning!

Day 1 of Orientation went really well, I was pretty pleased. While I'm not in charge of our group of advisors, I am highly involved in the planning/execution of our part of orientation. Unfortunately, I had to skip my run. Hoping to get my other runs in this week though.

Morning all! Got in a nice 13 miler this morning. Made even better with the mild temps we have and a nice breeze coming off the river.

Catching a friend's show tonight called Minor Gods; he's a very talented playwright and this particular show was developed through a grant from Lincoln Center. Needless to say, he's nervous as all hell but I'm sure it'll rock. Subject should be interesting as well ...I believe the premise has to do with science of some sort that might be able to alter one's sexuality. This is the twist & undoubtedly part of his anxiety being a gay man who's still to come out to his family. Full review to come after the show

Pacer - that is a sweet gift for your work bud. Are you guys gonna split up the training for him too?

Good morning everyone! DH and I stayed up drinking wine last night and I got up very late this a.m. so I still haven't run yet. I have to hit the treadmill instead of running outside (it's such a gorgeous morning out!), better than nothing. I enrolled in a Doggie Dash with my dog for early September, pretty excited about that.

PacerChris - your friend is going to love you guys! Nice gift.

All right - I'm quasi-caught up with yesterday's discussion. And I would like to chime in on a few things:

QOD Assuming I see the runner from a distance, I notice form, speed, and stride. As they get closer - I do give the ladies the once over...it's an animal instinct, I can't help it so I don't want to hear that I'm a pig. I already know I'm a pig. And I love every minute of it!

Voo Liked your comment about not being able to find a swim cap to contain the dreads. I, of course, have no such issue. Sadly.

Cactus Did you puke during a workout recently? Good on ya!

Ptom, Trev, Baggs and anyone else interested We'd talked about posting our weekly workouts - where should we do that? I like the idea of having someone else to answer to with my workouts - even if it's just to avoid getting mocked for running my 800's in 2:50 rather than 2:45!

San Fran Peeps I'll talk with my wife about connecting with you guys - when is everyone arriving? We leave tomorrow and I'll be @ Clif Bar all day Thurs. I don't work the Expo until Sat afternoon (1-5) and I'll be doing touristy stuff with my wife & daughter Fri...maybe we can do lunch on Sat before I have to go to the Expo? We're staying at Parc 55 Hotel. Also - I think Maria & Stephen are doing the full, and Joe you are doing the half? which half, 1st or 2nd?
