what fun i missed yesterday!!! oh wait - i had a whole different kind of fun.

heard from my mom after i left work yesterday that we were gonna have a baby last evening, for sure. so i stopped at home, grabbed DS, and drove two and a half hours to the hospital. met up with my youngest sis, ging, and spent about half an hour in the hospital congratulating my younger sis on her amazing little girl. she's beautiful. here's a shot of myself holding her:

thank you all for your well wishes. they're all doing great.

i have my gym bag along today for a mid-day something-or-other.

doc, my friend. you don't have to go this alone. help is okay.

must run for now. happy trails!

i spoke with him briefly last night.

he's busy being voodoo.

there's a bait shop in lewes, DE right next to a hair salon. the road signage proudly proclaims "PERMS AND WORMS." okay, it's not sexy. but it still cracks me up every time...

who found out about scratch and my sis...

turkey's roasting, as are our veggies. i'm done done done with business today, stressed and looking forward to the glass of wine i just poured.

in celebration of families united and babies born, in honor of those who have gone before, in synchronicity with those of you who are tired just keeping it all together, in acknowledgement of the ass-kicking you who ran today did, and in a gesture of sympathy for those of you who hurt, i raise my glass.

it's been quite a few days on the thread. daaaaaamn.

donuts. i used to work at a convenience store. the guy who brought the fresh ones would leave a garbage bag full of day-old donuts at the back door for me (wasn't supposed to, but he did). rather than strew them about as jenny and her cronies did, we saved them in the fridge for late night need-to-eat-something-NOW-for-good-reasons moments. you stick those suckers in the microwave and nuke 'em a minute, the grease gets popping and they taste fresh. donuts were a commodity. the only ones i don't like are boston creams. sometimes pudding is GROSS.

i'm outta comments for the day. g'night all.
