Hello hello!

Up again early to get in 4 miles (hopefully). It's still pitch dark out there at 6:05am. Just eating my kashi oatmeal and then I'll get dressed and go.

Had some really wierd dreams last night. Wierd people in wierd places! Not sure what that was about.

Anywho... Gotta get a move on. Hope you all have a great Thurs. We are almost there!!

Hi Beth and all that follow--

You can eat before you run, Macca? I'm envious. I can't eat a thing hours before I run or I have major stomach issues to contend with.

I'm up early as well today;I simply could not sleep. An unfortunate part of my personality is that sometimes worry keeps me awake--today it seems to be related to this fall. I'm picking up teaching a course along with my other job, and will be taking Advanced Cell Biology, so I'm a little worried.

Biology is an attempt to get some training in something I'd really love to do--the teaching part is to get me outside of my own little world of disability stuff. It will be a lot, though and I'm not kidding myself.

My run last night was OK; pretty muggy and still feeling a bit warbly, but I'm going to try again this a.m. for another easy 3.

Hey, did the t-shirt discussion thread--is that still around? Decisions on that? I'm in for one.

Baggs, Brandy, Sage, Korbels, Tortle, Gahoona--I've decided to do the Heat of Summer 10k on Saturday as long as my ear holds. Anyone, anyone?

Theia - nice work. Even if you did freak out the people eating.

Beth - I'm glad that my early mornings come to an end tomorrow. Not sure I could, or want to anymore, be up early like this the majority of the year. Good effort though.

Maria - see you had to go and quote Wooderson. That movie has quite possilby the best line ever in it "We came here to do two things, drink some beer and kick some ass...we're almost out of beer." Voo did it last week with the quote from the Wolf - had to add Pulp Fiction to netflix, now I'm gonna have add this one!

Crane definitely thought the kegger line was funny!

Only one practice today so I'm hoping to be home early enough to get my miles in before dinner out with the Mrs. tonight.

check back later.

Good morning, folks. Theia, that's an impressive PR! If you were able to PR despite the pause in the middle, you must really have been flying for the rest of it...

Thanks to everybody for the good luck wishes with the job thing. Yeah, this has really gotten me wrapped up in knots, since I haven't changed jobs in so long. Plus, with a baby coming soon, is this really the best time to change? Umm, I don't know...

Crane, are you talking about 30s KR shirts? Yeah, I don't know. What ever happened to that idea?

Today's a day off from running. Last night of childbirth class. Maybe I'll get in a quick gym visit. But I won't bank on it...

Woohoo to Theia for the PR.

I'm back from a run that felt kind of sucky. Bleah. Legs felt dead, it was muggy, dewpoint of 68 degrees, just one of those runs. Not unexpected though, had my longest run yet last Saturday, ran a somewhat foolish and hard 2 miles on Sunday just because I wanted to see how fast I could run a particular stretch of road, then ran 4.4 miles of fartlek on Thursday.

My legs wanted me to know they weren't going to do anything like that today.

I changed jobs when DD was 2 months old, then changed again after DS#1 was born, then again about 6 months after DS#2 was born. Good luck with whatever evolves.

Theia - nice work.

Winter - I hope your next anniversary is better. Condolences to your friend.

No run again today, but I did try and catch up on some much needed sleep. I will need to get in my LR tomorrow AM before work, which means getting up super-early. DD is having a sleepover party on Friday for the premiere of High School Musical 2, so dissappearing for 2.5 hours on Saturday morning would not be a wise thing for me to do. DW is out all day Sat at a conference, and we have company coming over on Sunday. Hope to get a 5.5 M run in on Sun. We will see.

later kids - duty calls...

Oh, OH!!!! I almost forgot!

SOMEONE is having a birthday today.

Not to mention any names, but I think her name starts with a Space and ends with a Daisy. You can probably piece together the rest.

Happy, Happy--You are an exceptional woman, Space!

Morning all! Busy day today. In Philly for a bunch of meetings and then back home to run and then out with restaurant club tonight. We're eating at Resto, a delicious Belgian dining establishment that boasts simple but tasty eats and an even tastier beer selection. Oh but I've gotten ahead of myself, have 12 on tap for this afternoon w/7 @HMP. Bring it on!

W: Say man, you got a joint?
M: No, not on me, man.
W: It'd be a lot cooler if you did.

Congrats again to Theia on a nicely run 5K and new PR!

Happy Birthday Staci!!!

Good morning!

I'm having a "normal" day for the first time in a long time. Meaning, my day is almost entirely filled with student appointments instead of reviewing transfer credits, etc. It will be a nice change of pace.

No run for me today. For my Saturday long run this week, I'm going to go it solo. I'm joining my mom and a friend for some camping and my choice is to drive out Friday evening and run at the state park on Sat a.m. or run with my group on Sat and drive out after lunch to the state park. Was going to do the latter, but my mom called me yesterday (she is already there) and says that the campground area is pretty spread out and she thinks I could easily get in my 9 miles. The funniest thing she said was that there were a few "easy" hills. My mom is not a runner or a biker, so I'm not sure what her frame of reference for easy would be. Anyway, I'm now leaning toward going out tomorrow so I could spend more time out there (Salt Fork State Park near Coshocton for you Ohio peeps).

Bob- You've been saying for a few months that you felt the need to do something different and this sounds like a good opportunity, since you'd be doing similar work just for a new company. I'm not hearing any reservations about the work you'd be doing or the new company, just that you are nervous about the timing of it and also the fact that you are a bit out of practice of being the new guy. Any life changes are stressful initially, regardless of when they happen in relation to each other. But think of this... happy parents = happy baby. I suspect you'd be happier in the long run if you took the job than if you didn't. Anyway, that's my $0.02, take it for what it's worth.

Good morning, Beth, Crane, Bob, Scratch, Kris, Tim, Maria & KP. Good night, Kini (WTG on hitting 3.1)!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SPACEDAISY!!

7.25 miles this morning with no protests from my ankle.

Bob, good luck with the job, and the childbirth class this evening.

Theia, congrats on the PR! You are speedy!!

(((Winter)))

So, DH called me yesterday afternoon with good news and bad news. The good news: our new sofa and loveseat just arrived. The bad news: They won't fit through the front door. The delivery guys had to go through the back door. Going this way meant that the pieces had to be lifted up and carried through my kitchen to get to the living room, but the delivery guys refused to go any further than just inside my back door. They said their only responsibility was getting it in the house.

So, I need about four volunteers to help me move the furniture to my living room. Anyone want to help a lady in distress? I offer excellent running weather (mid 60s, low humidity) and all the Chinese food you can eat...

Hi all...The only other post I attempted this week was eaten by my computer, so hopefully I'll do this right this time.

HI EVERYBODY!!!

Happy Birthday, Staci! Enjoy your day.

I've been trying to keep up with running, and I have somewhat, but my travel/social schedule is making things a bit difficult. August is always a busy time for family events.

Plan to run 3.5 tonight - or crosstrain, haven't decided.

I'm really out of the loop, but great PR! to Theia.

Good runs to all today!

Happy Birthday Spacedaisy!

Congrats Theia on that awesome time!

No running again for me (boo-hoo). DH rubbed out my back twice last night with BenGay, and while it does feel a little better, just not good enough for a run. I'll give it another day of rest.

I'm in on the 30's t-shirt.

Morning all.

I'm still fighting this summer cold. It hasn't been easy with DW away either. She comes home tonight.

Managing to keep up with training though. Sweating it out seems to help. 7.3 miles this morning.

Taking the kids to grandparent's pool today.

Congrats to Theia on the PR and Happy Birthday to Staci.

Morning Gang!

Happy Birthday Miss Spacedaisy!

{{Winter}} Sorry 15 sucked. Damn teen-age hormones.

Congrats Theia! You are a goddess!!

I had a fabulous bike home last night, makes a difference when I don't have to battle the wind off the lake! Although next time I have to bike home carrying all my stuff, I'm declaring it biking clothes day at the office. Or at least, I'm gonna wear a lighter skirt.

Shoot!! A race on a week-end!! I can't - by brother, his wife and the 2 1/2 yr old are coming to visit this week-end. They're bringing their bikes (with the trailer for Miss Mia), though so that should be fun. I'm thinkin' we'll try to hit Split Rock.

Bob - if there were ever a really good and convienent time for things like this. . . Good luck to you.

I'm in! Might be a while getting there though.

Hello Everyone!! Back from Cancun (for awhile, actually)...Just haven't been on here much. 3 miles this morning...Sitting here icing my knee sweating like...Well, I don't know what.

Marathon training for PF Chang's officially starts very soon...I'm not sure I can do this....I guess we'll see.

Happy birthday Space!!!

Let me guess...You're a guidance counselor? I'm a school psychologist, so imagine trying to review transfer credits and IEPs from around the country for special ed kids (who take the weirdest classes) then tell the counselors what the credits count for....yeesh...That's why I went to grad school, right?
